The only thing I can say with any authority is that there are no quick fixes for stretch marks. I was recently asked if I knew of anything that might work and my best offer at this stage is copper peptides. If it does work (and I can’t offer any personal experience) then it is likely to be over a period of months (four to six). I can say, however, that I have had really good results with Skin Biology’s Super Cop 2X ($29.95 for 0.5oz) for deep wrinkles and (working with Suki’s Skin Brightening Cream) on fading sun spots.

Skin Biology says that the best combo for stretch marks is its LacSal Cream ($17.95 for 1.7oz) with 10% hydroxy acids, followed by Super Cop 2X. The LacSal helps to exfoliate the damaged cells and Super Cop’s copper peptides repair. There is a ton of clinical evidence that copper peptides are extremely effective at repairing scar tissue.

I have read of women who have overdone the procedure by using a deep peel before the copper peptides causing painful peeling followed by long-lasting scabs. So the advice would be to stick to a fairly mild hydroxy acid.

I’ll keep researching alternative stretch mark treatments. In the meantime, the full ingredients of Super Cop are:  Purified water, copper peptides (hydrolyzed soy protein and copper
chloride), squalane, ethylhexyl palmitate, glyceryl stearate, PEG-100
stearate, cupric chloride, carthamus tinctorius seed (safflower) oil,
cetyl alcohol, PPG-2 myristyl ether propionate, stearic acid, salicylic
acid, glycine, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, propylene glycol (and)
diazolidinyl urea (and) methylparaben (and) propylparaben, allantoin,
polysorbate 20, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, tocophersolan
(Vitamin E), aloe barbadensis leaf juice (aloe vera) gel, fragrance,
retinyl palmitate, menthol, camphor, mixed (alpha, beta, gamma, delta)
tocopherols, mixed (alpha, beta, gamma, delta) tocotrienols, ubiquinone
    (CoQ-10).

What really worked for my stretchmarks was a product called Stretch Renew. It took about 4 months before I really started seeing improvements, but by the end of a year they were almost completely gone.
