Origins products contain a number of natural ingredients, and some Origins products are even certified 95% organic, but the components they claim to include in some of their products aren’t always on the ingredient list. Some Origins products, including the popular A Perfect World Body Cream, contain some downright disturbing ingredients, including phenoxyethanol and methylparaben, both of which can be extremely irritating to skin. Even the Plantidote Mega-Mushroom Lotion sold under the Dr. Weil for Origins brand contains lavender, which can irritate sensitive skin, and preservatives. What we do like about Origins products are the USDA organic certification that some of their products have earned, and the company’s commitment to both the environment and other philanthropic causes.
