Librow, the eyebrow growth product from Lilash, promises to restore even the most overplucked and moth-eaten. Like its lash lengthening older sister, Librow contains a prostaglandin.

This is a drug that it used to treat glaucoma and was found to have a desirable side effect: it made lashes longer, thicker and blacker. Unfortunately, it can also have less desirable consequences such as irritation of the surrounding skin, staining of the skin, red and burning eyes and, in some rare cases, change of eye color.

Still, it works. Recent research has shown prostaglandins can stimulate head hair growth as well as eyelashes. Revitalash, another lash enhancer brand, has just brought out a hair growth product with prostaglandins as the active that we will be reviewing in full in a few weeks.

There are three botanicals in Librow: krameria, sarothamnus and walnut leaf. None have anything to do with hair growth, but in this combination, they are marketed together as something called Melscreen Black for preventing gray hair from looking yellow-ish by despositing dark pigments. The same three are also in Real Lash Mascara. I imagine that these dark pigments make lashes and brows look darker and therefore give the impression of being longer and thicker.

It seems likely that Librow will work as well as Lilash and given that it is used further away from your eyes there may be less irritation. Do post a comment if any of you have tried Librow.

Water, Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Krameria Triandra Root Extract, Sarothamnus Scoparius Extract, Jagulans Regia (Walnut Leaf) Extract, Apigenin, Oleanolic Acid, Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, Panthenol, Saccharomyces Copper Fermant, Saccharomyces Manganese Ferment, Saccharomyces Zinc Ferment, Biotin, Methylchioroisothiazolinone, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, 15S-Trihydroxy-17-Phenyl-18, 19,20-Trinor-Prosta-5Z, 13E-Diene-1-Oic Acid, Isopropyl Ester

I’ve been using LILASH for 4 months now, and it doesn’t really work…My lashes have grown a little bit but it’s barely visible…
I’m really disappointed…I really thought it would work but no. I did it every single night for 4 months, I’m really disappointed.
If someone has tried an eyelash growth product that works, could you please tell me which one ?
      Thanks in advance

I have not tried Librow, but I am an obsessed Revitalash user. I love that I can use Revitalash on my lashes and my brows. It saves me time and money! AND IT WORKS!! Just a thought.

    3. Lily says:

I am trying Librow, and I’m finding that the skin around the brow hairs is turning unpleasantly reddish, either through irritation or stain or both.

    4. Chantal says:

I hear Revitalash has just launched a mascara! Has anyone tried it? I love their lash conditioner and have gotten all my friends using it.

    5. Gwen says:

I have used LiBrow and it really works. My previously near bald eyebrows looked like a chia pet. The only problem was that most of the hair was white (I am 60 and my hair is white). I had to have my brows waxed and tinted but they look great. I never thought I would have brows like this again.

any side affects using revitalash? what is the active ingredient in this?

    7. marta marta says:

Revitalash has a prostaglandin just like Lilash.

    8. Caiaphas says:

I applied Librow for the first time two nights ago and I woke up with dry and red eyes. Didn’t apply it last night and still feel it. Is this something that subsides with continued use or an indication I should stop? I’d hate to give up so soon after dropping $115. It’s tolerable, but if it got worse I’d be too nervous to continue.
