Behind every bail out there is the opportunity to find a bargain. Derma e Peptides Plus deserves seeking out even at the original price of $43.50, but at the current special offer on Amazon.com of $25.97 it qualifies for a stampede.

I’ve been trying it out for the last couple of weeks and am impressed. It’s better than many potions at twice the price. Peptides Plus is mostly based on the antioxidant peptide, Matrixyl, and the peptide that relaxes muscle movement called Argireline and it does a good job of moisturizing and smoothing the skin.

Derma e is a family-owned firm that tries to focus on natural ingredients and a couple of the botanicals in Peptides Plus are USDA certified organic. These are green tea and jojoba oil.

Although not organically sourced, I like the inclusion of pinus pinaster (French maritime pine), which is full of proanthocyanidins. These flavenoids are the principal polyphenols in red wine, responsible for its antioxidant properties. There are studies that show that proanthocyanidins’ antioxidant capabilities are 20 times more powerful than vitamin C and 50 times more than vitamin E.

There is a silicone and a dab of phenoxyethanol, but otherwise there is everything to like about Derma e. It’s not a miracle worker, but a good cosmetic work horse that won’t put too much strain on your flexible friend.

Quick translation: Acryloyldimethyltaurate/Vp Copolymer (Aristoflex) is a polymer thickener that doesn’t have any hydrocarbon or solvents.
