Oh how I wanted to love this product. After all, who doesn’t love hemp…no, that’s not what I mean. I mean, who doesn’t love free full size products to try at your leisure?
Anyway, in anticipation of a wonderful outcome, I downloaded Iron Butterfly’s Inna-Gadda-Da-Vida to my iPod just to put me in the right spirit and I washed my hair. I sprayed on the Alterna Hemp With Organics Leave-In Conditioner ($20) and immediately noticed the nice earthly green apple scent. The comb-thru was easy and that’s good given that I am a bleach blonde with fine hair. After blow drying, I began my usual styling with a curling brush. That’s when the trouble began.
I’m not sure what is in the product that deposits on your hair, but your hair has absolutely no slip whatsoever. I used it every other day for forty-five (45!) days. I used it with different shampoos. I used it with different styling tools…all with the same results…you get pull and tug when you style. This results in more damage than there should be, particularly when they claim their product has botanicals to strengthen and supplement hair to prevent damage.
I thank you for the opportunity to try this product but I would not purchase it nor would I recommend it.

I highly suggest that if you want a hemp hair care product you use Hempz Hair Care products that are made with organic hemp seed oil and hemp seed extract.
