ThermaSkin Stick and ThermaScalp- reviewed and recommended

Thanks to Copley, we were recently introduced to Greenstations ThermaSkin Natural Skin Therapy for itchy and inflamed skin and, as I result, I have now got to know the brand’s Skin Repair Stick ($19) and ThermaScalp Therapy ($14.89) . All three products share the ThermaSkin trademarks of convenient packaging for on-the-go users and a simple mix of botanicals and emollients.

The Skin Repair Stick can be used anywhere to target fine lines or dry skin. I’ve been rubbing it on the backs of my hands and around the cuticles, on a small patch of dry skin on my arm and as a lip chap stick. Used for the latter, the shape – wider than a typical chap stick – is a bit unwieldy, but I love what the formula does to my lips. Cayenne pepper gives an instant warming tingle that is most welcome on a cold day and quickly subsides to provide a non-greasy soothing, protective layer.

More than just protection, this has antiaging apple stem cells, one of the new ‘It’ ingredients that One of the new ‘it’ recently turned up in Cell CPR and is also in IMAGE Skincare’s Ageless. It is joined by kola nut. According to research done by The University of Maryland Medical Center, some studies indicate that triterpenoids found in gotu kola strengthen the skin, boost antioxidants in wounds, and increase blood supply to the area. It’s also thought to boost the production of type I collagen and myofibroblasts. Based on these findings, Gotu Kola has been used topically for minor burns, psoriasis, prevention of scar formation following surgery, and prevention or reduction of stretch marks.

Since I stopped using crappy, chemical filled shampoos, I am a stranger to itchy scalps. However, Greenstations promises that ThermaScalp Natural Scalp Therapy will put to any irritation within 60 seconds. In any case, I found this light spray a refreshing wake up call. Even sprayed on dry hair, it leaves no residue. Although it is much easier to massage into the scalp when the hair is still wet. ThermaScalp is also formulated to help healthy hair growth with saw palmetto and alpha lipoic acid.

The Skin Repair Stick is now available in the TIA store and the rest of the range should be up very soon.
