Deciem NIOD Neck Elasticity Catalyst is a non-invasive anti-aging serum that utilizes a host of intelligent technologies to help increase and protect visible skin elasticity. Contributing to the increase and strengthening of elastin in skin, the serum targets neck lines and sagging to help improve elasticity and density, both on and below the skin's surface. According to Deciem, Pro-Elastin and Pro-Elastic-Fibre technologies to help increase and strengthen the important elasticity protein—or elastin—and elastic fibres for a direct visible increase in skin elasticity. Tetrapeptide supports key protein syntheses for functional elastin and cellular cohesion, while Leontopodic Acid (plant extract) helps restore the mitochondrial network of fibroblasts and strengthen elastic fiber against DPPH, lipid peroxydation and singlet oxygen.

Facing my 50th birthday with apprehensions about the Facebook pictures I knew my two daughters would be posting from our family vacation, I was more than thrilled to have the opportunity to try Deciem NIOD Neck Elasticity Catalyst. My neck is my number one concern due to thyroid issues that have caused weight fluctuations and swelling. This condition has exacerbated the normal aging process and lack of elasticity in the neck and lower facial area. I also have sun damage from a less-than-consistent SPF regimen over the years.
This product has the advanced technology to back up its mysterious sounding name. It promises to improve hydration, improve skin texture, and boost elasticity. Tetrapeptides support protein synthesis for the assembly of elastin and leontopodic acid is said to strengthen elastin fibre, while powerful complexes inhibit the enzyme that’s responsible for breaking down elastin. It also uses a special type of hyaluronic acid (not sodium hyaluronic) to encourage protein production and increase dermal density. And while many of the chemicals on the ingredient list sound scary, there are no major concerns.
The packaging of this product is reminiscent of the old Elmer's Glue bottle, and it has the consistency of a slightly-sticky substance. It also has a bit of a medicinal odor. However, as the old adage about books and covers goes, don't judge by looks alone. The scent I mentioned quickly dissipated after application and it was easily absorbed into the skin, leaving (to my surprise) no smell or sticky residue. I religiously applied the product as directed, twice daily from the lip area to the décolleté.
After several weeks of testing, I’m pleased to say that this stuff WORKS! I felt confident in the family photos posted to Facebook. The crepey appearance along my jawline and neck has improved by roughly 45 percent. But sadly, my melasma did not fade while using the product.
I intend to continue using this Neck Elasticity Catalyst, and I’ll also be trying new products from this brand in the future.

I like this product. It is very thick but I thin it out with a hyaluronic acid product or an essential oil for skin replenishing. It really moisturizes and seals the skin. The price is better than most products for this need. Wish it had more healthy ingredients.
Well, this stuff is amazing. As others have mentioned, the look and consistency of the product is not like anything else I've used. It's thick, but very easy to apply and is not greasy or oily. The finish is very nice - it is matte, but skin looks hydrated.
I have a 65 year old neck and decollete - with all the usual problems of wrinkles, elasticity degradation, sagging, crepiness and extreme sun damage, plus vertical wrinkles from being a side sleeper my whole life. I've used lots of other specialty products designed for the neck and decollete in the past, but didn't see any change in skin condition.
Although NEC doesn't repair serious damage overnight, it sure helps make everything look better, tighter and more hydrated right away. Shocking also that my neck even FEELS tighter and hydrated and it felt that way from the very first day. Over time, I see gradual, continued improvement.
I use Deciem NIOD MMHC (their super hyaluronic serum) first, then the NEC, and top it off with their HV (Hydration Vaccine). The treatment lasts all day, all night long. I know Deciem recommends use of their copper product - CAIS - before MMHC, but I have not used CAIS on my neck/decollete yet. Note - the HV product is also an unusual consistency, but like the NEC, it applies and wears nicely, is also a matte finish. HV really seals everything in.
I purchased this after reading Suzanne's review. While waiting for it to arrive I went online and came across Caroline Hiron's Q&A with Brandon, DECIEM's head honcho. Very interesting stuff there on a lot of the brands products. He recommended using NEC (Neck Elasticity Catalyst) on upper and lower eyelids too. Mine were very droopy and crepey so this was exciting to me. After about one week of using NEC following DECIEM 5% copper and MMHC I could see a difference in tightness. I purchased the 100ml tube and have been applying it daily to my hands and arms in addition to my face, neck and chest with terrific success. It does everything that it says it will. Skin is tighter, plump and smooth.(I am 63 and my upper arms showed every day of it!) I like the tube much better than the jar for hygiene reasons and it is easier to use. I hope that TIA will stock it.
I picked this up from TIA about a month ago. It's an interesting consistency leaving a slight tint on your skin but it dissipates. My neck and jaw skin look so much better. And it tightens! I can feel it in the morning after using it the night before! This is a ridiculously effective product.
