I am obsessed by body lotions that are as good as facial serums. I invest so much into my facial regimen that it seems ridiculous to stop at my chin. I want my arms, legs and even my knees to look as good as they can. The vast majority of body lotions simply don’t cut it and so I was super excited to try one with human stem cells as the most dominant ingredient after water.

KERACELL Firming & Sculpting Body Lotion with MHCsc Technology ($80 in the shop) did not disappoint. After a month of using after every shower, I can see a marked difference in my skin throughout my entire body. There is a reduction in crepeyness, an increase in suppleness and even my knees are less saggy. Although it is a rich cream, it isn’t the most moisturizing I have used – but then I didn’t want a lotion, I wanted an impressive anti-ager and that’s what I’ve got.

The formula, with a few PEGs and silicones, will disappoint those who want chemical free. But for me, the good far outweighs the bad, starting with KERACELL’s proprietary stem cells that are a blend of growth factors from both adipose and fibroblast to create a balanced complex. Tiny nano-lipids (1000 times smaller than cells) called exosomes to help the delivery of the stem cells into the skin when applied topically.

A favorite botanical of mine is here as well, milk thistle. The powerhouse of milk thistle extract is silymarin, an antioxidant that protects against cell damage, and its most active compound, silybin. Silymarin and silybin may protect the body from chemicals by blocking toxins from entering the cell or by moving toxins out of the cell before damage begins. They can strengthen cell walls, stimulate enzymes that make toxins less harmful to the body, as well as block free radicals - responsible for signs of aging - from attacking cells.

Another strong feature of KERACELL Firming & Sculpting Body Lotion is a complex called Renovenzyme. It is based on a stabilized form of collagenase and it selectively breaks up defective Collagen around fat cells, responsible for cellulite. The manufacturer says it improves the appearance of visible cellulite by smoothing dermo-hypodermal junction irregularities, and activates lymphatic drainage.

There is a detectable pepperminty scent (which KERACELL says is due to an oil that will also help with cellulite) but I didn’t find it overpowering at all.

Overall, this is a high performing anti-aging body lotion that is the perfect companion to KERACELL’s V-Shape Neck Cream. I will be buying a replacement bottle.
