You can only imagine my delight when I was given
Osmosis Quench Intense Hydrator ($44) to test at the beginning of January. I couldn’t WAIT to get it on my skin! Between the steam heat in my apartment and the brutally cold New York City winter, my face was thirsty, dry and ready to be quenched.
I was so ready to fall in love with Osmosis Quench Intense Hydrator. The name alone got me excited and full of high hopes. I eagerly anticipated extreme moisture that would leave my skin soft, supple and hydrated. Unfortunately, what I got was a product that smelled a lot like lemon-scented Pledge and that was hard to get over. What a turn off!
The moisturizer did just an okay job… my skin never felt fully hydrated and soft. In my opinion, it did the bare minimum. I used Osmosis Quench exactly as directed (one to two pumps after serums) and even used it
twice a day, hoping the second dose would do the trick. It didn’t. It’s not like my skin wasn’t suited for Quench; it’s specifically formulated for mature, dry or irritated skin (me, in a nutshell). I do appreciate that it was gentle and never irritated my skin.
I think this moisturizer is better suited to someone in their 20s or 30s with normal skin and a not-so-sensitive nose!

This makes me sad. I love Replenish and Polish, but Osmosis seems to be hit or miss.
