The impact of Dr. Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream ($74 in the shop) is immediate. I kid you not. I applied this deeply rich cream to the back my left hand and the skin it became instantly smooth and plump. My right hand looked scaly and lizardy in comparison. The effect of Deep Cream lasted hours – even after a shower.

You may be wondering why I was using this face cream on my hand. Well I was reacting with an abundance of caution to a review of Dr. Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream by community member Tina, who was put off by the scent. For me, this cream does have a pronounced floral scent that I attribute to the camelia oil. It is not off-putting to me and easily passed my sniff test.

Having got that out of the way, C+ Collagen Deep Cream was enlisted as my daily moisturizer and it had the same brightening, smoothing and plumping effect. I have slightly oily skin, but I did not find it too heavy or rich for me. My much drier neck skin positively lapped it up. Fabulous.

Deep Cream is part of Dr. Gross’ new C+ Collagen line, which includes the extremely good C+ Collagen Brighten and Firm Vitamin C Serum ($78 in the shop). The line was created to address tired skin and target the mitochondria, the energy source in our cells. The core of the formula is based on a vitamin C (3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid), collagen amino acids, and the antioxidants superoxide dismutase and niacinamide,

The base oils are emollient and antioxidant camellia and rice bran. There are tons of other plant-based. The more unusual include the seaweed, undaria pinnatifida, Mediterranean cyprus and the spice green cardamom.

This is an effective anti-aging moisturizer that I would recommend to anyone who’s snout isn’t overly sensitive. I’ll certainly be repurchasing.
