I’ve fallen a bit in love with copper peptide. I was excited to have the opportunity to use Apothederm Nourishing Serum ($75 in the shop) especially because it contained copper peptide. This serum combines the peptide with antioxidants and vitamins all of which help to restore vibrancy and protect against free radicals. Peptides are small proteins, some of which have an affinity for copper and bind tightly to it, making the peptide quite effective. Its special gifts to skin have a wide range, from optimizing skin healing, moisture retention, significant anti-inflammatory action, to the prevention and reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and promoting the growth of collagen and elastin. Here’s where the love comes in — all combine to slow the effects of aging. For me, it has done just that.

The serum is a clear liquid with barely a hint of scent that comes in a 1 oz. pump bottle. It is not sticky, is easily absorbed and feels refreshing. My face simply feels good having it on. The serum has a light texture and a small amount will generously cover your face and neck.

Right from the beginning of use I liked the way my skin felt, but around the two-week mark I noticed my skin had a more luminous look to it. With my 65th birthday arriving soon, I am so fortunate to have very minimal wrinkles, but I do have fine lines. I believe Apothederm has minimized the fine lines. I’m very pleased and know I will continue to use this serum. At $75 an ounce it is pricey, but I expect it will last many months. Aptly named, Apothederm Nourishing Serum is a product I recommend without reservation and not surprisingly, it is good for all skin types. For those who use serums as a preventive measure rather than to turn back the clock, I believe Apotherderm is a good bet.
