I’d never paid much attention to my eyes in my 56 years, and it was beginning to show. Though I’ve been working on perfecting my general skin texture and giving some extra love to my neck, I’d neglected my eyes. Crow’s feet were forming at the outer corners and under my eyes, dark circles and bagginess were becoming an unattractive nuisance. Stress and sleeplessness and tears while moving my ill mom to an assisted living facility were adding a noticeable imprint on my poor face, especially around my eyes. Not a pretty sight when magnified by reading glasses — ugh!
SimySkin Nourishing Eye Cream ($45 in the shop) has come to my rescue! As its package insert asserts (in 11 languages and teeny type — get out those reading glasses!), the effects of the product are anticipated to be: “Targets fine lines, wrinkles, dryness, and puffiness. Hyaluronic acid provides moisture around the eyes and vitamin C helps brighten the eye area. This product targets dark circles and signs of fatigue.” After several weeks of morning and evening application, it looks like SimySkin has achieved those goals easily and effectively.
The cream takes no time at all to apply, absorbs quickly and has no scent. The 1 oz. tube promises to last a long time because a little bit of product goes a long way. I like its “carefully selected active ingredients,” with many botanicals including aloe vera juice, shea, mango and cocoa butters, green and white tea extracts, coconut, sesame, sweet almond, and cranberry oils and extracts of cucumber, licorice, bearberry and pomegranate.
By gently swiping dabs of this eye cream under each eye twice daily, my purple-ish undereye circles are more flesh-colored, puffiness is gone and those crinkly crow’s feet are greatly softened and not nearly as visible as they were before.
I appreciate the brand’s philosophy of “in depth scientific knowledge of biology and respect for the human skin” to address the effects of aging. SimySkin Nourishing Eye Cream is a very simple, super-quick, and effective addition to my skin-care routine. It’s stress-free and it works! I’m glad to be taking good care of my eye area; that little bit of pampering really shows – with or without reading glasses!

An eye cream with astaxanthin (a more powerful antioxidant than vitamin C) gets my vote. Plus there's Matrixyl 3000. Looks to be a good formula overall and at a decent price.
