Truth Vitality True Volume Conditioner with copper peptides is still one of my top picks in this category, its conditioning, hair growth properties help to prevent and reverse hair loss, leaves hair silky and smooth. May need to use a product for buildup every once in awhile, but besides that it's a top notch product!.

So glad I received a sample of this with my last purchase! I have the most difficult hair in the world - highlights, lowlights, natural gray, fine, thick, coarse, frizzy - all on one head. My hair was the absolute best it's ever been after using your shampoo and conditioner with copper peptides. It was all - every last hair - silky feeling with nice volume. Made my hair look and feel beautiful. I'm only sad because I didn't try them sooner.

I'm so sorry not to have a positive review on this conditioner which stares at me unfinished every time I shower. I found the thin consistency not very conditioning, even for my normal hair and I'm terribly sad to say that every time I use it, I have a handful of hair in my hand. Worse, after using it for a week or so, I had the weirdest scaly crust on my scalp (yes, I was rinsing properly). This has to just be me because everyone else seems to love it, but it simply didn't work for me. I'm giving it two stars instead of one because I really did love how it had copper peptides in the reformulation.

All I can say is my hair is absolutely beautiful! I also paired it with the Truth Vitality Shampoo and what a great pair I have very fine and straight hair that is on the longer side and it appears thicker with much more volume. Time to order more. Marta has the formula changed since this was first introduced? When I used it way back when it first came out my hair did not do this great. Awesome product!

Hi Maree, if you click on the ingredients tab, you will see that there is emu oil, which aids hair growth and conditions. This would make it unsuitable for vegans.

This is the best conditioner ever. The light consistency is so much better than those gloopy things that go under the name of conditioners. This one detangles and seems to thicken the hair shaft. Plus there's no product build up and no heavyness. Just shiny, healthy hair.

I received a sample of this in the Discover with Marta Collection. The texture of this conditioner is kind of thin, compared to other conditioners so I felt like I had to use more of it. It did help to detangle my hair, but I didn't feel as if my hair had a good conditioning treatment. This line isn't really for my hair type though. I have thick hair that grows quickly, so maybe this product works better on fine, thinning hair.

Hi G, I'm pleased to hear that you are getting results with volume and regrowth. The new formula is intended to be lighter whilst still conditioning and, therefore, suitable for more hair types. We take your feedback on board and will consider some alternatives to the range in the future.

After I using the new reformulated Truth in Aging Conditioner for a several weeks I have discovered some techniques on manipulating the new formula aiding in the performed. First, leaving it on ones hair for a few minutes helps in the detangling process. Second, if you have long hair like mine adding a secondary conditioner to ones ends helps with the performance (not ideal, but it works). I have noticed many benefits in the new formulation helpful with the thinning and hair regrowth. The new formula is on the thin side, even with using more product then I would like (using up to ten pumps per use) the benefits far out weigh the negatives mentioned in my prior review.
Although I do hope that Truth in Ageing looks into their formula, especially the thin texture.

Unfortunately, I agree with many of the other reviewers as to the newly reformulated Truth Vitality True Volume Conditioner not worthwhile; the product is runny, not very moisturizing, or detailing, having to use numerous pumps to get enough product for ones hair and even then it doesn't give the conditioning as I expect from this line.
I do love the fact that this product has so many added ingredients to aide with thinning / shedding, but the new formulation needs a new formulation.

I second Preksha's suggestion for sample sizes.

Having just spent $56 on a shampoo/conditioner combo (different brand) with a list of great active ingredients and big promises - that only left my hair limp and lifeless, I just don't want to keep losing money on products I'll never use again and can't return. As we all know, not all products work for everyone and it would be so nice to "try before we buy". $44 is about twice my normal budget for a conditioner, but if it works as advertised, I'd splurge.

I am so disappointed with this product. I was excited to try it because I like the hair vitality complex but this is one of the worst products I have purchased in a long time. The conditioner is runny and does not condition at all. After about 20 pumps of this product (in the same wash) I gave up and used another conditioner. What a waste of money.

I love the faint scent of this conditioner and the way it feels on use. It's refreshing and has helped clear up my dry scalp.

I am now using my second bottle of this conditioner. It has to be the best conditioner I have ever used. I went to a wedding in July, and in the pictures that were taken of guests, the thing that stood out about the pictures of me was the amazing SHINE in my hair! I have received compliments several times from co-workers on how shiny my hair looks. My husband is blessed with thick, silver-gray hair that at times can be dull-looking. The very first time he used this, he was pretty surprised and impressed with how his hair just glistened, and now he uses it all the time. When the first bottle I bought was used up, he asked me to make sure I ordered it again. Along with that, one other benefit of this conditioner is making me very, very happy. For years I have peeled strands of hair off of my coats, sweaters, etc. I'm not really losing my hair (although it's thinner than it was 10 - 12 years ago), but it has been shedding like that for quite awhile. And guess what - it isn't anymore! In the shower and in the sink, I am seeing only a few strands of hair in my hands instead of before, more than I ever wanted to see! And now, I might pluck maybe 3 strands of hair off of the back of my jackets and sweaters. Yes, so few I can count them. I love the shine this product gives me, but it's because of the huge (huge!) decrease in the amount of shedding I am experiencing now that I won't even consider buying any other conditioner.

Hair Vitality Conditioner can be summed up in one word: Awesome! This ultra-light lotion seemed to melt right into my hair and scalp. You might be tempted to apply more because of this, but there is really no need. With a light lemon scent, it invigorates while not being overpowering. And the results! WOW! My ultra-fine hair was never more manageable. It styled incredibly with a simple blow dry, was bouncy, shiny, and static-free all day. I was worried that rubbing this on my scalp would give me oily roots by day's end, but it instead did great things! My scalp remained nourished, non-oily, and best of all -my hair stopped falling out everywhere! Marta has outdone herself in developing this product. I highly recommend it as I think it is simply the best conditioner I have ever used!

I have mad love for this conditioner! My baby fine hair never had it better. Perfectly balanced... not too oily, not too dry. And it really did stop the shedding. I highly recommend this for fine hair and people who have problems with their scalp. My husband used it and reported his nagging dandruff problem disappeared.

Within a month of testing Hair Vitality Conditioner, I've noticed that even with my limited thrice-weekly hair washings I have fewer tangles to unknot afterwards. The tangles I might have are easier to unknot. My hair sheds less too!

Hair Vitality Conditioner does a good job of detangling; I can run my fingers through my hair with no problem in the shower. I noticed less hair in the shower drain, after only a few weeks of using this product. As for styling, it offers a very nice, light conditioning effect.

Being greedy for good hair conditioner I've bought three of these, only to find that contrary to all the amazing reviews it did nothing for me. And I didn't expect much.
At least to be able to comb my hair easily after using it.

Didn't happen. I think it was actually particulary difficult to detangle my hair which is in a fairly good condition.

I generously offred it to my daughter hoping that it was "my hair" problem, but after using it just once she thanked me and returned it back.

Now I am stuck with two and a half bottles of this conditioner, and would be happy to give it away to anyone from this site from South Africa.

After giving Hair Vitality Conditioner a try, my husband and I were left impressed. In my experience, this is the only conditioner that really reduced my shedding. My color treated hair is left soft and shiny after each use. The hubby’s number one praise is the thicker and fuller head of hair he gets after every use. We both like the light citrusy scent, as well as how the conditioner doesn’t seem to weigh the hair down. Instead, it gives hair volume and bounce. With that said, we’ve decided to invest in this product, especially since our teenage daughter wants to use it too.

The ingredients sound wonderful. In my case, the product was not the best. Yes, it did fluff up the volume, however... it was too heavy for my hair and it did not leave my hair very shiny. I even used the tiniest amount but it still felt heavy. My hair is dry from coloring and it did not disperse easily throughout my wet hair. I even cut it in half with another conditioner... It dispersed easier but still made my hair a little too greasy. Perhaps it would make a better "treatment" rather than conditioner.

I have tried many brands of conditioner over the years, and I must say, this one stacks up among the best of them. My hair isn’t the wild and thick mane that it used to be, in fact, it has thinned and become more difficult to style. Not only do I have to work extra hard for it to hold curls and body but I also have to make sure it stays on my head! Hair Vitality Conditioner gives my hair beautiful body, shine and minimized my shedding (a huge bonus). It also leaves no residue build-up. When it comes to Hair Vitality Conditioner - I’m all in!

I am 59 years old with thin, fine naturally curly hair that has become more coarse and fly-away over the past few years. Before I started the HVC trial, I would shampoo 2-3 times a week and use a leave-in conditioner that provided heat protection when blow drying. I was hoping this conditioner would eliminate my need for the leave-in conditioner. At first, I used it after shampooing and eliminated my leave-in conditioner. While this conditioner left my hair very soft, it didn't tame the fly-aways and static like I hoped. I then tried the HVC followed by the leave-in conditioner, which also made my hair very soft, but extremely limp - it didn't hold the waves I created with blow-drying for more than 1 day. After 4 weeks of use, I concluded that for my fine, thin hair, I need the structure and protection of a leave-in conditioner rather than a rinse-out conditioner. If you ever develop a leave-in conditioner for Hair Vitality, I would be very anxious to try it!

Hi Francesca, I think you would need shampoo too. However, I do find that I don't need to wash my hair as often with this conditioner. Also, our companion Hair Vitality Shampoo will be launched in the next week or so.

I have yet to try this, but I was wondering if this could be used for co-wash (as in, washing with conditioner only instead of using shampoo first), or if this wouldn't really clean the hair. Thanks!

The more I use Hair Vitality Conditioner, the better my hair appears, feels and behaves. It’s shiny again, which it hasn’t been in decades. It also feels silkier and softer too – huge feats considering the mixed hair (fine, oily, unruly gray) I’m dealing with! And even though there is oil in it, it’s proven to be the Goldilocks formula; not too much, not too little, but just right. And most surprisingly, with usage over time my hair actually feels a bit fuller and healthier, and this delights me to no end. My hair is bouncing around as if it’s 18 years old again. I do highlight my hair, and the conditioner only enhances the color and shine. My hair feels new again.

After using this products, I realized that I haven't needed to wash my hair as frequently, yet my hair looks and feels nicely conditioned. It's been a revelation about formulas that coat my hair, versus those (like Vitality) that penetrate it! My hair is course, dry at the ends and prone to being oily at the roots, a bit wavy, and tangles very easily. Like I said before, I have to wash my hair less frequently with Hair Vitality, so clearly it's absorbing nicely and also rinsing away cleanly. Tangles have been much less of an issue, I can even run a comb easily through my hair, and it looks smooth and feels soft. And I love the scent! I'd definitely recommend Hair Vitality, and can already think of a couple of people to whom I would suggest it to. I'll let you know if I noticed anything else in the next few washes.

I’ve tried your new conditioner and I will certainly be buying it. This is the only conditioner I’ve been able to use after every shampoo. It doesn’t weigh my hair down, but gives me shine and body. There is also a lessening in shedding. Thank you, Marta. Now when will we see the shampoo

The first thing I notice about this product as I smooth it into my wet hair is that it doesn’t have the slick silicone feeling I usually associate with conditioners; it spreads, yes, but seems to soak in rather than lie on the surface of the hair. The smell is a subtle citrus. I comb it through my insanely fine and curly long hair, rinse, and let it air dry. My hair is still curly, but softer, relatively frizz free without the addition of any other products, and most amazing, super shiny, even the greys. Two subsequent treatments with this stuff, and I am a believer: my hair stays in the “lovely state” for more than 24 hours, and with the addition of a grooming product, also remaining frizz-free longer. The comb-out in the shower takes less time, my fine hair less tangled each time. And best of all, that shine lasts! My hair looks and feels great!

I am going to start off my review of Hair Vitality Conditioner simply by copying the email I sent to Marta just three days after I started using it.

Lately, I’ve been drying my hair with the Conair Infiniti Spin Air Brush, which works my curls into smooth soft waves. After using Hair Vitality, my hair felt softer and silky smooth. The waves were soft and bouncy before I put on any styling product. In fact, I really didn’t need any, because it dried so nicely. The difference was noticeable after just the first use. Needless to say, I am quite impressed with this product. Marta did an amazing job formulating something so special and effective. I definitely will be splurging on a bottle once my samples run out.

Hair Vitality is the best conditioner I've ever used – and I've used hundreds!

Preksha, I followed your lead and have been using the conditioner as a leave-in styling treatment. Really cuts down frizz, gives some shape to my waves, but without losing bounce or making my hair feel greasy. Plus after two months of use, I have little to no hair shedding its way to the drain hole.

The first thing I thought when I used Truth in Aging’s new Hair Vitality Conditioner was “this is nice.” And by nice, I mean, I enjoyed everything from the texture, to the consistency, to the weight, to even the scent. It has a nice light scent that escapes quickly. It’s so pretty and light that I almost wish it lingered a bit longer. (Who can resist good smelling hair?) One of my biggest issues with conditioners is the residue feeling you get after you rinse. There are few things worse than conditioner residue weighing your hair down. Luckily, TIA’s conditioner doesn't do any of these things. My hair felt soft, clean, and – well, very nice. In addition to its “niceness,” I was glad to see my hair wasn't shedding (I usually find enough hair in the drain after my shower to give Barbie a new weave). Hair Vitality Conditioner totally gets my vote. Now, Marta, can you pretty please hurry with that shampoo?

Marta congrats on a perfect conditioner! I tried the sample in the recent DWM and am really happy with it. It’s perfect for my fine hair. Great body, nice shine, no weigh down from overly heavy conditioners, and no winter static (yeah!). Can’t wait to see how it does on curbing the hair fallout. But even without that benefit it’s a new favorite for me. Really looking forward to trying the shampoo!!
