TIA Review by Marta:
Your Best Face Hydrate B now has an upgraded formula with a new active that promises to firm sagging skin. Syn-Hycan stimulates hyaluronan (HA) synthesis and expression of the proteoglycans, decorin and lumican. The company that makes it tested it on women aged 56 to 65 years with loose skin on face and forearms and claims a significant decrease in sagging and double chins.

Sodium hyaluronate is a wonderful skin moisturizer. One of the reasons for sodium hyaluronate's "it" status is that, according to a review in The Archives of Dermatology, it is one of three anti-aging treatments available that are proven clinically effective. The naturally occurring and widespread component found within the extra-cellular space within bodily tissues, especially those of the face. Its water-binding and water-attracting attributes fill up the spaces between the connective fibers collagen and elastin in the dermis. Like most things, it decreases with age and, therefore, we need to top it up somehow.

There are now three forms of vitamin B: B5, B8 and B3. DMAE and parabens no longer in the formula, with preservative provided by fermented radish root.

I use Hydrate B on its own or with my LED device to plump up the skin and stimulate collagen growth.

Hydrate B is another wonderful YBF product. It can definitely be used alone, and I sometimes do that, but I prefer to first apply a YBF oil, followed by Hydrate B, followed by a serum and/or moisturizer. I really like the way my skin looks and feels after using the Hydrate B - moisturized and radiant. Another plus - it is very reasonably priced for a product with such powerhouse ingredients.

Over the last several months, I've been enamored with adding vitamins to my skin care regimen before I apply other skin care products. I started with Vitamin C and have gone all out, using it on my eyes, face, neck and hands. The skin care community has tried for decades to make vitamin products that actually penetrate the skin, among them Vitamin C and Vitamin B. After I finally found good vitamin C products, I added Your Best Face Hydrate B Concentrate. This product is absolutely luscious. It glides on very easily and I've not found it to be sticky, but everyone has different experiences with skin care products. Adding this Vitamin B product to the Vitamin C skin care products in my regimen has increased the moisture in my skin exponentially. For me, YBF's Hydrate B potentiates how well every other product I use. My skin has "plumped up"--in a good way, slowly eliminating the small creases in my 'rapidly approaching 60' skin. My problem areas: bottom of my neck, my left lower lip area, and my forehead are slowly smoothing out. I've even tried it with the Truth Vitality Lux, Red LED function--it seems to work well with the red LED in smoothing out some of my problem areas.

This product uses radish root as it's preservative, so it has no "nasties" in terms of parabens or other preservatives. It has Vitamins 3, 5, and 8--all extremely difficult to 'put into solution'--as it were. We are in an amazing age where Vitamins B and and C--non water-soluble vitamins-- now actually penetrate and work on the deeper layers of our skin. (YBF's CE--with Vitamin C and Vitamin E--is also an amazing product!) Hydrate B tightens up my skin, has no discernible scent, and a little goes a long way. Like many of YBF's products, I store my Hydrate B container upside down. It keeps the pump mechanism always working without any hiccups. Another winner from YBF!

Generally I love YBF products and the fact that there are no nasties in them, and that they are chocked full of ingredients that benefit the skin. Hydrate B is a nice addition to my skincare routine. It hydrates my skin and in some ways calm it. I took a star off because it is a little drippy and does take a while to absorb fully into the skin, and on mornings when I'm running late, I tend to skip it to avoid waiting.

After cleansing and toning, this is usually the product I use first. I'm left with a fresh, hydrated canvas that really helps deliver more out of the products I follow this serum with.

I also find it great to mix with a heavier cream foundation to give it a more lightweight look/feel while also getting the most out of all the antioxidants.

I’ve been using and testing Your Best Face Hydrate B Concentrate for quite some time now, putting this interesting product through all sorts of tests. The texture is a little bit hard to explain, somewhere between a gel and a serum. When you first put it on, for a moment it almost feels sticky, but right before that sticky feeling would actually bother you, it dissipates. And because the ingredients list is wonderfully simple and straightforward, it has no scent at all.

When I first received Hydrate B I was spending a month in Miami where it’s warm and humid. And although this product doesn’t feel like your typical moisturizer, I found it to be pretty effective. My skin felt and looked good. Zero irritation and a nice glow. I was using it by itself, and it seemed to be enough to keep my skin supple and moisturized. However, when I got back to New York City, where it’s unbearable freezing and dry, I realized this product simply was not enough.

Looking on the YBF website, I learned that although Hydrate B can be used as a stand-alone product, it actually performs best when used underneath a moisturizer or serum. So I decided to conduct a little test of my own: on one side of my face I used just my moisturizer and the other side I used Hydrate B and my moisturizer. I did the same thing with each hand as well. The difference was subtle, although definitely more noticeable on my hands. The side with the YBF addition was actually suppler and had a subtle dewy glow to it that wasn’t present on the other side.

This unique product is a nice addition to really seal in moisture, especially in cold and dry climates. And it makes for a nice super light moisturizer for when it’s humid and sticky out. I should also add that a little bit goes a really, really long way. So I would say it’s a worthy addition to your skincare arsenal.

my skin looks and feels more even-toned, and I dare say radiant. I wanted to go out without makeup on each night after washing my face! I am really pleased with this product and will bookmark it for future purchase.

I knew that I was going to be in the sun a lot this summer, and I was hoping the product would provide some extra moisture for my fair, 48 year old aging skin. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my skin looks better after using the product for the past 4 weeks! I would recommend this product, as my skin looks better now than it did before I started using it. I’ve been told how young I look, and I credit Hydrate B concentrate for that!

A couple of weeks before my sample arrived, I had an allergic reaction to a chemical that caused the skin around my eyes to blister and peel. So this test was going to be real challenge. In the end, the Hydrate B was sort of up to it.
It does hydrate. Within a week I could see the redness fade from my skin, though it never faded completely. I slathered it around my eyes and within a week the improvement was impressive, with the redness nearly gone and the wrinkles no worse than they were before.Within a couple of weeks, there was no further improvement.
If I were younger I might top it with a good moisturizer and look no further. If I had trouble with the dreaded shiny face, indicating a lack of product absorption, I’d try it; my face has had an absolutely matte finish this whole time. I’d like to find a serum or moisturizer that completely eliminates the red patches. There are a couple of other things I will try before I decide for sure.

I use Hydrate B w whatever serum I’m using at the moment. Currently it’s Glotheraputics Defense. I feel it “stretches” the Glo product and plumps my face and neck more than Glo Defense does alone. I think Hydrate B it marvelous!

I having been using Hydrate B for a couple of months. Living in Colorado and tending to have normal/dry skin..it is imperative that a moisturizer be used with this or my face quickly turns into the Sahara. I do like Hydrate B – it certainly neutralizes any T-zone action – the result (for me) being close to what I used to get with glycolic peels. My face is left less combination and more ‘normal’ all over.

First off, the container is very sleek-looking pump which releases just the right amount of product. The serum is an extremely lightweight white liquid. Yes, I said liquid. So much so that it was quite runny. I’m used to using cream-based serums or oils so it took a bit of getting used this one.
This serum has a pleasant fruity scent which is a plus if you’re into aromatherapy. After my first use of the serum, my face broke out in small whiteheads. I’m not sure if this was an allergic reaction, but they went away after a few days.
I used this serum for about 5 weeks and I’m sad to say that it didn’t do much for my skin. My skin is normal to dry so perhaps the consistency was not the right match for me. I could see this working well for someone with normal to oily skin.
