Vogue • Allure

Directions:
Use in the am or pm. After cleansing, smooth over face, neck and around the eye area with a light patting motion.
How to use as a Mask for a Concentrated Sculpting and Firming Lift: After cleansing, smooth a thin layer on your face and neck, always moving upward and outward. Immediately follow with a soothing massage to help with absorption and micro-circulation. Begin at your neck with upward strokes, followed by circular motions starting at your jawline working up and out. Finish with key acupressure points by pressing for a few seconds at the hairline, brow, cheekbones, upper lip and jaw line. Leave on skin for 10 minutes, splash off any excess with tepid water.

TIA Review by Emily:
Truth in Aging has introduced me to something that could be an expensive habit but might be worth the money. I was sent BRAD (yes, Brad) Biophotonic Skincare Ultra Elastin, described as the line's "sculpting, firming cream complex", to test. I still can't sort my way through its unclear claims, but I can tell you that my face and neck do feel firmer, brighter, and very happily hydrated since I started using it about four weeks ago.

I did guess right away that the line hailed from Los Angeles and immediately adored the notion that this "cult" brand (says Vogue) was originally designed around the needs of and sold to the oxygen and moisture-deprived private jet traveler set.

The key ingredients are a very solid list of vitamins, natural oils, herbs, extracts, and butters, antioxidants, and something called multi-peptide bioferment, perhaps the BRAD secret. Glycolic acid is the third ingredient - presumably that explains the brightening; MSM doesn't get much respect from TIA and was a bit of a surprise. Propolis and Coenzyme Q10 are relatively prominent.

I have used it mostly as a night cream - though there's no reason not to use it in the mornings as well, especially if you're feeling particularly ancient, as I was earlier this month. And when I have, I've found it an excellent base for makeup. The cream is unscented, surprisingly light-textured for its heft, and absorbs beautifully. I'd say that it's improved my skin's tone and texture, kept my face and neck looking smooth and well-hydrated, and even, I think, provided some firming. It is definitely expensive - but for the most part, I've skipped the use of serums while using the Ultra Elastin, so it may be a bit of a two-fer for some people.

This is a lovely cream that absorbs very quickly and really does leave your face feeling like you are wearing nothing at all (I think what Hanna experienced). I like the green grass scent and that a little goes a long way. I'm giving it only 4 stars just because I think there are other standout products in the Brad line that have more "instant" results (with this one you do have to be patient for the effect).

It seemed to actually lift and smooth the skin. The texture and firmness seemed to last all day and my makeup went on so much better. My face was very hydrated

Well, Marta just kept telling us how good this was. One day, I just couldn't help myself. I bit my lip, and pressed the "checkout" button. Although this was pricey, it certainly lived up to its promises. The ingredient list is amazing. Some nights when I am exhausted, I skip my serums and just use this. I can say my face looks just as firm and moisturized the next morning and I don't feel guilty for skipping my serums.

After about one month's use, my 50+ skin feels more taut, firm, moisturized, and the fine lines/wrinkles have lessened to an almost imperceptible degree. I am now hooked, and will keep this in my arsenal. BTW, I have used it for about a month, and I probably have 2-3 months of product left. A little goes a long way. I don't mind paying this kind of money for a product that delivers and goes a long way! Love it and thanks for finding this, Marta!

This was a pricey purchase, kind of hard for me to press the "buy it now" button, but I did, because I have had good results with another Brad product - the Multipeptide Elixir. I've used the Elixir for months. I've been using this Ultra cream for over 30 days. This is a really nice moisturizing/treatment product to apply on top of the Multipeptide Elixir and so far I'm happy with the results. I have mature, somewhat dry skin.

Although I don't have a lot of wrinkles at 62, I have not seen a significant, noticeable reduction in the ones I do have. However, overall my skin looks younger, feels stronger. Not sure how to describe it, but my facial skin looks and feels like it has more density and support. Definite improvement in elasticity. My skin feels and looks nourished and healthy. For me, the Brad Multipeptide serum and the Ultra Sculpting Firming Cream have been a great combination.

    Perfect, in one word, perfect.
After years and years of taking good care of my skin BUT always with the feeling/notion that so many brands do not deliver (while costing me an arm & leg) I now have the sense that I've found my 'home' in regards to proper skincare.
This cream surely delivers, my already not bad looking skin (60 years and going strong) is improving night by night. Firmer, healthier glow.
I also want to use this opportunity to thank the people of TIA for their more than excellent customer service, Thank U!
Regards from a very happy Marja.

I am overjoyed that I finally decided to try BRAD! I am 52 and have used Royal Nectar Moisturizer daily for a year. It is a lovely product which I found very pleasant and refreshing, but beyond that I could not trace any major improvements to my skin. Instead, I recommended it to my 23 year old daughter and wanted for my own part, something that could give a stronger boost for my ageing skin.
BRAD has already, after only two weeks, led to visible changes. The skin has attained a healthy glow and a greater degree of softness. The product absorbes easily to the skin, and I experience an increasing firmness. I use the Ultra Renew Plus on a weekly basis, and it seems to me that BRAD - in comparison to Royal Nectar - is a vital ingredient to the firming-process as a whole for my type of skin. I will definitely hold on to this product. Thank you Martha!

I've been using this cream for 5-6 weeks now and have to say at first I was dismayed, I'm used to rich emollient style creams, I've been using Ella Baché since I was 16, and have always loved the richness of their products. However I'm hitting 45 and have really noticed the ageing process in full swing. Wanting to stem the inevitable tide without resorting to anything plastic, I read this site back to front (I've learnt so much) and decided to splurge on this cream as my first purchase. The first week I almost moisturised over the top of this cream as it's so readily absorbed it left me feeling naked, I hope that doesn't sound weird. Within a couple of weeks my skin adjusted and now it feels balanced, brighter and more supple. There is a definite improvement overall and even pigmentation I've had since pregnancy is looking better. I'm not even using that much I only do my routine once a day!

This is a fantastic moisturizer and beats most others I have tried. The fact that it has peptides and antioxidants of good quality means that it doubles as your serum, justifying the price tag by eliminating the need to have two products

Just began using this product and I can say so far so good. I'm not sure if this is meant to be a night cream or not, but since it is winter time, I am taking Marta's advice and using it night and day. ..for now. Since it has the glycolic and lactic acids, I have to be careful not dry out my skin too much..

I was impressed with this line, because I am always looking for cutting edge and interesting absorption properties. Of course, someone that does his homework on anti-aging doesn't hurt either. So far, it is speaking to my skin's needs. I needed a booster.

Quite a surprise, this product. By surprise I mean that I, also, cannot make much sense of the story/marketing side, let alone of some of the (long!) INCI list.

But, it does do something. Something good.

For sure an item I am placing on my wishlist.

FYI: my 2 cents are based on a sample, which came with the b-box from Marta's

Wow, one product has all those ingredients? Too bad they had to use phenoxyethanol - my face does not like that preservative.
Oh well, my pocket book can't quite match that price tag.

Marta, I've just read your review (posted this morning) of the BRAD serum and it sounds amazing. Let me cop to a bit of snark about the Miron glass issue, and apologize. I guess TIA has really got me sold on the value of transparency -- ok, bad pun -- and I wish BRAD's website was as great as its products in terms of information! But biophotonic or not, I have to acknowledge that the Ultra Elastin cream is great and the line as a whole is very intriguing.
