Stem cells in anti-aging serums (VIDEO)
Stem cells have become commonplace in the cosmetics industry, but remain slightly unfamiliar to the general public. In this video, I describe the various types of stem cell actives and

I've been using both of these products for about two years and noticed a clear improvement in fine lines around my eyes, mouth, and forehead after starting to use them, which I believe they are helping to maintain over time (I definitely look younger now than I did two years ago). I would not want to go without either of them--though I do supplement with quite a few other products. I love the fact that their texture is so light and readily absorbed that I can easily apply another serum or cream on top of the AQ serums.

Thank you so much Marta! I didn't see this here till just now. I really appreciate the tips as I never would have even thought of that. I will try your suggestions and see what happens. Thanks again! :)

Hi Jen
My first observation is that using retinol or glycolic with growth factors is not a good idea. The skin spends its time trying to replace the sebum that the retinol or glycolic has removed and only eventually gets around to trying to absorb other actives - in this case the growth factor. So this regimen will inhibit and slow down the work of the growth factors. so it would be a good idea to use your retinol or glycolic at night and the AQ during the day. I would also say that you are using a lot of products and layering so many is counterproductive. Try tareting them on different areas or concerns and see what happens. Or try targeting the AQ just on one area with no other products and see what happens. But definitely keep the retinols, glycolics and other AHAs away.

I've been using these since the beginning of the year - at first I thought I saw a difference, now not so sure... But I do have a couple of questions that even after exploring their website I can't find answers to (there is no search box that I can find). I was wondering if it detracts from the effectiveness of the AQ serums growth factors etc. if I layer it in with my other products?
And if it's okay to do that then is it better to put the AQ on a clean face and pile other serums etc on top or better to put the AQ on top or somewhere in the middle maybe? I'm lost! I had been using Dr. Gross's retinol and ferulic acid Eye serum under the AQ and then sometimes the Sciote one you (Marta) recommended because as you said (and I found this to be true as well) it needs some kind of moisturizing serum with it on top. I thought maybe using the retinol under the AQ would help it absorb better or does it block it??
I have the same questions about the AQ skin serum. First I use Dr. Gross Retinol and Ferulic Brightener (or vitamin c) then on a few burn spots Murad's 2% hydroquinone and Glycolic. Then I put on the MitoQ you recommended and then the AQ Skin Solutions followed by the Medi8 Firewall and then other things I have that I'm trying to finish off as well as more copper peptides, matrixyl, horse chestnut cream for spider veins as my skin is so thin! (any suggestions for thin skin, nothing I've tried helps!) I only gave into the hydroquinone after trying everything else and spending a fortune (3 bottles of Lumyxil did nothing!). Am I using too many products? Or not enough? I am 58 and even though my face isn't too bad considering, I only started tending to it the past couple of years.
Thanks so much in advance for your advice and suggestions about how and when to use the AQ as far as layering etc... I love your site and as you can see I really believe in your recommendations! :)

I am purchasing my third bottle of the AQ eye serum & first of the AQ Skin Solutions, after I was given the opportunity to review. I have gone through many of the "BEST of 2012", and with the help of Marta's team, have finally found a winner, knocking it out of the park, with the AQ skins solutions. I was already totally sold with my first order of the AQ eye serum. My face has used so many products, that I had to continue to persevere with the AQ Skin Solutions, until it finally "calmed" my face down after about 8 days. I will never use anything else....until, of course, Marta & team find something better. I am 59 years young. Went to the Dior counter last night, after work, picking up a gift for my daughter. The SA who knows me said, "Wow, you look great! What are you doing different?" I shared with her the TIA website and told her I read it almost every day, it has that much information available. I am a VERY happy customer!
