Your Best Face Quench (lip balm)

It has a mild mint scent, that fades away very quick, so you don't feel the typical burning of mint lip balms.
It has the right balance of wax and glossiness, with a mate finish. You can feel that the product gets absorbed and doesn't just stay on top of your lips.
Because it's all natural and not heavy, you need to reapply after eating or drinking. Not enough moisturizing if your lips are in really bad shape.

I've been using YBF Quench lip balm now for about two months. It has a lovely smooth application, unlike so many 'drug store' lip balms which seem to sit on top of my lips instead of actually penetrating and hydrating them.

I love the light scent. The only two reasons I did not give it five stars: It does not have sun protection AND I find myself needing to re-apply it more than I would like. I live in an extremely humid climate, I drink EVERYTHING through a straw (medical issue), & I hydrate my lips with several of my skin care products as I apply them So when I use the Quench, it is not going onto very dry, untreated lips. But, when this product does get some sunscreen, it will be the best lip balm I've ever used in the snow!

As a footnote: I've been so incredibly impressed with Darrell Owens, the guy behind Your Best Face. He has been incredibly kind and responsive to every question I've posed to him. You cannot get better service than almost immediate answers to your queries from the person who invented the products about which you have questions!!

My favorite lip balm so far! It feels perfect going on....not too waxy, not too gloppy, tastes fine, and best of all, it LASTS! I get a slight tingle for a few minutes after applying, and I like that. A mild minty, citrusy feeling. It's the best lip balm I've ever used, and yet my lips have a tendency to be chapped....not sure if I'll ever find something that truly takes care of the chapping....but until then, this my go-to product for lip hydration.

I've tried Burt's Bees, Kiehl's, Aveda, Fresh Sugar, Rosebud, and all the cheap drug store lip balms, but none of them compare to this one. I'm constantly reapplying the other ones, but with Quench it's one and done. I love the way my lips feel and it's definitely worth the price.

Very disappointed in this product. My lips continue to be chapped, and only feel moisturized when I first apply the balm - just like any other balm. My fav lip product (Lipotoxyl X3 is no longer available in the clear version - was the only thing that kept my lips smooth and chap free for years.) My search continues.

This is the best lip balm ever! I have had problems with chapped lips my whole life. I've never found a lip balm to completely alleviate this problem until now. After using for a few days I no longer had dry skin peeling from my lips. I've gotten rid of all my other lip balms lying around.
This balm goes on smooth and makes my lips feel soft without feeling greasy. They stay feeling soft even after the balm has worn off. I agree with Ashley that it would be great if it had an SPF in it, but even without it I will continue to use it for the foreseeable future.

Favorite lip balm. The nicest thing about it is that my lips feel really moisturized after applying it, and yet it's not oily. If YBF would come out with a version with SPF, it will be perfect. I could use the one with SPF in the day and the one without at night.

It feels very soft and gentle on the lips.

Quench is my favorite lip balm. I will never use anything else because when I stop using it the quality of my lips goes down dramatically.

This is a great lip balm. I like the way this feels on my lips. It does not have a waxy or heavy feel to it, as many other lip balms do. It moisturizes and hydrates well and even after only 2 days of use, my lips are not as dry or chapped as they were and they feel moisturized. It does not have a glossy look and I like that as well. Like other reviewers, I am probably applying this more often during the day than is necessary, but it feels good and soothing.

I love this lip balm! Provides enough hydration, it feels like it absorbs and really moisturizes unlike cheaper alternatives that just sit on top. Besides hydration, I also feel like I'm doing my lips good to stop those wrinkles from coming. I wish they also had a version with SPF.

When I had put this product on my lips for the first time, I instantly felt that it works. It was this blissful feeling of soothing that lasted. I was suprised, to be honest. But it felt good. And it still does, my lips are better than ever. Plus I have found another added bonus. When I had a cold, I patted the balm with my fingers to my under nose area - where all the paper tissue rubbing occurs. After a few days I have noticed that it is not even sore! Now that's a plus!.

My lips get painfully dry and this product was very helpful in preventing the roughness and cracking I can get.

I like the fact that it is not glossy or too emollient and yet it does leave my lips very supple and moist. That feeling lasts for several hours, but as I mentioned above I caught myself putting it on more often then necessary simply because it has this delicate taste of citrus drops with a touch of mint - thanks, I am assuming, to peppermint and clementine oils, just delicious. My lips and I are very happy that we were introduced to YBF Quench

Have been ordering this since the original formulation and although the old formula felt more moisturising, it was also alot less matte. The formula they use now still stays on after one application provided you don't rub it off somehow (eating etc) and keeps lips just barely moisturised. If you are looking for a heavy duty moisturiser this is not the right one. Otherwise, a brilliant product.

I’m on a quest to replace all my paraben and other questionable ingredients-filled products with more natural products. I was thrilled because I had heard that YBF has a wonderful skin care line, filled with all natural ingredients. Since it is winter, my lips get chapped very easily, so the time couldn’t be better to try a product like this.
I’ve been using Quench daily for about a month now and I can report that the product definitely protects my lips and makes them feel less chapped, but the results are only slightly better than I would get by using my old standby, Burt’s Bees Lip Balm. Considering the price difference ($3 for Burt’s Bees and $15 for Quench) and the fact that I have to apply the product by pressing the tube into my lips so that huge clumps don’t come off, I’m not sure this is a product that I would go out and buy for myself. However the fact that YBF fills their products with such high quality ingredients may just bring me back.
