Marta I placed an order and had it shipped to the TIA shop, unfortunately I missed the Define as I had already placed the order. Please contact me to have the order shipped to my home address as discussed. THank you so much; I look forward to Open Sky shipping to Canada again.
Hi Laura, I am so pleased to hear that you like the Chella day cream with SPF. I think its a sadly underrated product.
Hi Laura, we are now selling Define on its own. It is in stock here: http://truthinaging.com/store/Your-Best-Face-Define?manufacturer_id=21
Unfortunately, TIA is out of stock of the bundle, will it be offered again?
Thanks Marta, I will do that as there are a couple of other products I'd like to try. I love your reviews; my favorite day cream with sunscreen hands down is the Chella. Wonderful product!
This is a real treat - a conversation with Your Best Face founder Darrell Owens. I first got to know Darrell in the early days of Truth In Aging and was intrigued to discover that he himself…
Airless pumps are great because they keep your products fresher longer; but they can sometimes be tricky to work with! Here, Marta offers a few tips on how to get the most out of airless pumps.

I'm into my 2nd bottle of this delightful product & am happy to report that the early signs of lip lines, which is what motivated me to try Define, have not progressed into crevices! My use has only been pre-bedtime, & mostly on the lip line area (above & below my lips) & not so much ON the lips. Since a little goes a long way, I always have enough in the tiny dab of product to cover the labial fold area as well, which I have to say, seems to have smoothed out! After reading many other reviews, I'm now inclined to also cover my lips, to see what magic occurs!
Compliments to the Your Best Face team for the best customer service ever!

Hi Nina,
While almost all of my products are paraben-free, at this time Define is not. I am very sorry about your disappointment and disposal of such a good product.
My focus is and has always been to make products which are safe to use. When I’ve used parabens, it has been because I made very informed decisions centered around my first responsibility as a formulator -- to ensure the products I make, which are very packed with natural ingredients, are safely preserved.
You don’t necessarily have line of sight to this, but there are many types of parabens and what I use in Define has been proven safe – add to that, because of the airless container Define uses I am able to use extremely small amounts of preservative.
My goal is fresh, safe products -- and that’s what I make.
I've said for years that when I find natural alternatives to parabens, I would use them in my products; and I've kept that promise. Of the nearly 100 products in my line, only two remain which make use of parabens and by the end of the year I expect those formulas to shift to another proven safe, but natural alternative.
Just because I'm shifting my brand away from parabens does not mean that I feel they are unsafe. I am simply being responsive and always seeking to make more natural-based ingredient decisions. Even when my line is 100% paraben-free I will continue to stand by specific use of parabens as safe. In other words you will never see me jump on a bandwagon other brands participate in, which is paraben bashing. That's bad business and too many brands freely participate in that.
It is proven many times over that much of the anti-parabens narrative that has come to be accepted as truth by many, is actually a collection of myths, rumors, twisted marketing strategies by some “green” companies looking for a leg up against their competition. Mis-quoted and out-of-context data and statements from older studies has been the fuel for this mis-understanding about safety.
Worth noting -- parabens refers to a category of preservatives -- there are indeed certain parabens in that category which cannot, should not and are not intended for use in cosmetics. Often material about THOSE parabens is what’s cited, mistakenly referring to ALL parabens. This is misleading, misguided and inaccurate information.
We JUST WANT TO BE SAFE.
We all seek to make informed decisions about the products we buy -- often that is extremely difficult when our own personal motivations are health, wellness and safety but we're bombarded with messages based on selling strategies and not complete, accurate and current information.
Again Nina – I am very sorry that you felt you had to toss your bottle of Define. My only motives are to make good, safe products and that’s what I’m doing. Define contains an enormous amount of natural ingredients which means the product must be properly preserved to protect you. I have your best interest at heart – I hope you’ll hear me when I say that.
All my best,
Darrell, founder and principal formulator at Your Best Face
founded 2004

I ordered this because of my implicit trust in truthinaging and them not having products that "do evil" so I was disappointed when I received it and it contained parabens. For my lips, that I kiss my infants with, this is a no go. I will be throwing away the whole tube :( I should have read the ingredients when I purchased it, totally my fault but I just haven't seen any products with parabens in them from TIA so far. I will be more careful next time.

I love to experiment but this is one of the few products I have purchased over and over. I have constantly dry mouth and lips and for years I have tried to find the perfect lip balm that would keep me comfortable without having to re-apply every 10 minutes. I never really found that until I added this product to my routine. When I use this twice a day, my lips stay soft and hydrated no matter what lip balm I choose to use, and I can keep my lip balm use to a more normal rhythm of every few hours. I have not noticed a particular defining or plumping effect, although I think my lips are a prettier and deeper color. That could just be because they are not so desert-dry!

This is an outstanding product! It has had both instant and and long-term effects, giving me softer, smoother, fuller, rosier lips. Since I've been using this product on an almost daily basis, my lips have been looking noticeably younger and fuller, as if it is providing them with some necessary nutrients. If I use it at night, it tends to give me acne around my mouth and chin (since I must spread it around when tossing and turning)--but using it only in the mornings has still yielded results better than any other lip product I've tried.

While I haven't noticed some of the more dramatic changes that other reviewers have noted (plumper, fuller, more defined lips), I do feel this is a stand out product in the lip department. I LOVE the way this feels on my lips, and it most definitely moisturizes like nothing else I've ever found, plus a little goes a long way. Definitely pricey for the effects I'm getting, but I have noticed some improved pigmentation and if it is helping stave off those unsightly lip lines, I will continue to use it!

I use Your Best Face Define (lip cream) every night. So far I haven't noticed any improvement with my lip lines, but I have noticed significant relief with my dry and cracked lips. It doesn't matter what the weather is, my lip will be so dry and cracked that they hurt. I have tried several top of the line lip treatments and nothing has worked as well as Your Best Face Define.

I have had a few samples of Define over time and have eked out the generous amounts given over time. I must say that my lips are definitely fuller when I remember to use it regularly and lighter in colour too. I don't have lip lines, despite being a smoker - I guess I'm lucky - so I mostly kept the application to my actual lips. It really is a winner and thinking about it now, I'm going to open my last sample pack and seriously consider buying a full sized product when it's one because this is a very good product.

I have to review this product because I love so many YBF products but have had the "Define" in my medicine chest with only occasional use for quite some time. I originally liked it but was just never regular about using it. This winter I used it more regularly for extra lip moisture without thinking too much about it, when suddenly I noticed a huge difference within a few weeks of regular use. I actually noticed it first in a photo of myself, my lips were fuller and definitely had more pigment than before. It had happened so gradually that I hadn't initially realized it in the mirror! I love the scent and feel of YBF products. The only warning I'd give on this is that there is a TON of product in the bottle after the pump stops working. It's not a big deal for me, I use a Q tip to get the product out. A little goes a long way with their products, but just a heads up for those who purchase this and may not look inside the container after the pump quits. Definitely recommended.

I love the effect of this cream…after 3 nights I knew I wanted to try other products from YBF (which I have just ordered). I'm almost 40 with no real "issues" around my lips, but this product worked a little magic…more definition, more plump, smoother. It's true that this is the last thing you want to put on at night (as it does not absorb instantly and it lingers around making it look like you've drunkenly applied some whitish lipstick), but the results are worth it.
With extreme concentration I have managed to pump out the tiniest amount on some mornings which I put just around the lipline and within half an hour or so I can't feel it anymore/it's been fully absorbed. It really makes my current collection of lipsticks more valuable and fun to use, because the "canvass" has improved.
Can't wait for my other YBF products!

Got a small sample of this in a YBF goodie back that I got as a bonus gift from TIA and this is the only product I really didn't like.
I'm in my 20s so I don't have issues with loss of firmness or wrinkles on my lips but they are on the thin side so I like products that offer plumping.
I will say this got two stars because it did deliver that - my lips did look plumper, but I couldn't stand having this stuff on them.
It had the smell, taste, consistency, and appearance of toothpaste and even with applying another balm on top felt like I had glue on my mouth. Couldn't stand it.

I don't have lip lines so I can't speak to it's ability to improve them. However, who doesn't want lips that are full, plump, and soft?! That's exactly what I noticed after just one use. If you are looking for a more affordable option then the hyallogic lip balm with hyalauronic acid at under $10.00 is a good option for noticeably softer and fuller lips. If you have the budget to splurge this provides even better results.

A product with results! I use this little gem at night, usually a thin layer but sometimes I'll slather a little more on there. When I wake up in the morning I have full, red lips and I'm ready to start the day! I do believe that part of my fuller lips are also the result of just sleeping...I feel that my face tends to get just a teensy bit swollen after sleeping a full night. Nonetheless, Define has definitely made a difference I can see. My only concern is that by the end of the day my lips seem to be back to their old selves which has started my addiction with absolutely having to wear this every night...not sure if that's a good thing...so minus one star. It has great ingredients and I know that it is doing more wonders for my lips than I can see and I HOPE that my future lip lines come in the far far far future.
by SusanDe
I never came back to look and see if my (much) earlier and somewhat skeptical comment got a response. Well, I should have. My sincere apologies! Thank you for answering my concerns. I still read Truth In Aging and - as I do have some lip lines - may even try the product above.
Thanks again.

I have been using this for about 4 months now and all I can say is I will never be without it. My lips and area around my lips have changed dramatically. They are smooth and youthful. I was a smoker for many years and quit about 14 years ago, but the lines around the lips were very prominent. They are now sooooo much better. If used with the AQ serum it is even better! My lip gloss looks amazing on and if and when I wear lipstick it looks awesome. It has even made my lips look good without anything on them. It is well worth the money and 1 bottle has lasted many months and I will be purchasing again soon. Winter is near and Define is a real savior for the lips!

I'm curious if the minty smell/taste as well as the tingling,
Isnt it's lip plumpimg effect? Also Is their anything in the list
of ingrdients that could be causing this?
And isn't that ultimately the effect thats desired?

This started working the first time I applied it. I can tell a difference when I use this. Fuller softer healthier looking lips. I'm so glad I purchased this.

Yea!

Hi Meena, I usually steer younger people away from heavy hitters, but in this case I think Define would be a good choice for preventing lip lines. Once they set in they are extremely difficult to get rid of.
by Meena
I hope it's ok that this is more of an inquiry/question than a review. I am a 26 yr old ex-smoker, smoking since I was 19 or 20. I just quit, finally! And I don't plan on going back. I should say that the adverse health effects are the motivation, and partly it is, but most of it is due to the damaging effects on skin. Now, I'm taking extreme preventative measures so those microscopic wrinkles I've been reading about don't surface. I have invested in the YBF skincare line for antioxidants and wear the Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum underneath Suntegrity everyday! My remaining concern would be my lips. I'm not sure if I should go for Quench or Define. Define does seem geared more towards the 30s and up but then again, I am almost 30 and I used to smoke.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Maybe I'm looking in the wrong direction and should be looking at another product here at TIA?

Hi All, I haven't been on line for a bit. Had a few health issues but I am back and I just had to comment on this product. I have been using Define now for about 2 months and the difference in my lips and the area around them is remarkable. My lips are full and smooth and my lip lines are less and less. I also use my AQ facial serum and the E'shee Elixer of Life on the lip line area. I highly recommend this product to get those lips into shape.

In my opinion, YBF Define’s formula last longer than the average moisturizer for lips or skin. I used the product overnight, and applied it during the day once or twice around the mouth and on the lips. Over the month that I tested the product, it kept my lips and the area around my mouth soft and moist. I have lips that need constant moisture and, although I have been informed that YBF Define is not a lip moisturizer, it still kept them moisturized.

I continue to use Define and have done so for almost two years. I do not exaggerate when I write this is the BEST product I've ever used on my lips to keep them soft and moist.
Thank you, YBF!

This a great product if you have Invisalign braces like I do! My lips were feeling very tender from all the stretching I was putting them through each time I removed and replaced my braces and lip balm on it's own proved to be not enough. So I decided to try Define and and am so glad I did. I've been using it am and pm with Vapour's Lux Organic Lip Conditioner (I wish this product was still in the TIA shop!) and my lips feel great. So if you have braces, treat your lips with define - you'll be glad you did!

I don't have any issues with my lips (I'm 29) but I received a bottle of this just recently with the YBF loot bag for $35. I used this twice and I noticed that my lips are indeed more moisturized. It's redder too. I decided to let my mom try it because her lips are quite thin now due to age and her lip color is lighter than mine. After her 1st application she noticed that her lips are plumper and more pink. I'll definitely post an updated review regarding this product but so far it's promising.

Hi SusanDe
Thank you for your comment - it is a very important one. So yes, all these comments are genuine ones from members of our community. However, they were posted at various times on the editorial portion of our website.
Responding to visitors to the shop who mentioned to me that it would be helpful to have readers' comments from the editorial pages incorporated into the product pages so they didn't have to go back and forth. And so we copied and pasted some of them over a few months ago.
At the time, I wondered whether this would bite me in the bum. And with your concerns, it seems it has. We are redesigning the site in a major way and when done, reviews will be pulled in automatically to the product pages from wherever they were originally posted.
We are growing but we shouldn't lose site of first principles. So please SusanDe keep us honest.
by SusanDe
I am very sorry to do this. But I'm a natural sceptic, which is what drew me to Truth in Aging a few years ago before it got so big.
I can't help noticing all but one of these reviews was posted on the same day. And the one that wasn't, was posted on the following day. I really, really want to believe what is said here at a site I came to trust. But so many glowing reviews all posted within 24 hours, makes me worried about whether I can.
Please, Marta & followers, can you say something to let me know this is all for real and not just very clever marketing?
by Catherine
Define is a product that I never knew I needed. I first bought it with a "Lip Your Lip Lines" offer because, at 57, I tend to grasp at anything that might fend off age and it sounded like a good idea. I have been using it for over a year now and I can't live without it. My lips definitely have more pigment and are softer and fuller.

I used Define a while ago then stopped to save money. I recently decided to give it another try and boy, is the difference noticeable. Lips are fuller and darker right away. It's the only lip balm I can use at night and wake up with lips that aren't chapped. I've tried lots of other products at all price points and nothing works like Define. I plan to use it faithfully from now on.

I have to say that this product is going on the “legendary but expensive” list, at $70 for a beautifully packaged 15ml airless pump.
The cream itself is surprisingly light and not oily or waxy but dries a little sticky. In the beginning of my month long trial the minty flavour really annoyed me, it just was not what I expected but as time went on I grew to absolutely love it. I almost just want to lick it straight of my lips as soon as I put it on, Mmm sweet minty lips!
The visible results after my first application was less fine lines around the lip line and less depth in the vertical lines on my lips. Now after the month long trial the colour of my lips is rosy and they look fuller and more youthful, I also tend to use much less lip balm because they are more hydrated and softer.
I am in love with YBF Define! It is pricey, but a little goes a long way so if you use it morning and night with a balm in-between it will last long enough to make you feel OK about forking out the $70.

I’ve been using Define for about 2-3 weeks. At my age, I don’t expect to see my lips change, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Define’s role in their feeling softer.
A major advantage since using Define is applying a very small amount to my lips before bed and not needing to apply more in the middle of the night or early morning, which has been the situation for years. Additionally, my lips don’t feel dried-out during the day. New to me!
The only change in my regimen has been to add Define (in the dead of winter).

moisturized, fuller lips with more color. This cream is very specific to the needs of the lip and mouth area and a little goes a long way.
I first got Define because I was getting the vertical lines around the mouth and it has really softened them.

I am 46, have full lips, and have not developed any significant lines around my mouth (olive skin and plenty of sebum). However, I have noticed that my lips are not as full as they used to be.
The packaging is very elegant in silver, blue and black. I need less than ½ a pea size of the cream for lips and it has a pleasant minty smell, not sharp but subtle. The cream is very rich and thick and when I massage it in around my mouth as well as on the lips, I feel a light tingling and a slight cooling effect.
I use it every morning after applying my moisturizer and every night before bed. After the first application that I noticed my lips were flushed with increased color.
This product did the job without a doubt. My lips look more full without seeming overly pouty. Overall I think it is a great product and I can honestly say that I fully recommend it.
