Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic & Retinol Fortifying Neck Emulsion is a fast-absorbing, lightweight cream that strengthens the skin on your neck and décolleté for a firmer, smoother and more youthful appearance. This treatment is ideal for anyone who wants to reverse signs of aging on their neck, whether fine lines have just begun to appear or you want to seriously combat sagging skin. Don't make the mistake of neglecting the skin below your jaw; treat it with the same powerful actives you'd use on your face. Just like every item in the Truth In Aging shop, this cream has been tested for at least 30 days and approved, so you can be sure it really works.

Dr. Dennis Gross has formulated Neck Emulsion with a powerful combination of hydrating, exfoliating and anti-aging actives for a treatment that effectively smooths and firms the neck area. Lactic acid accelerates cell turnover for a refreshed look. Namesake ingredients ferulic acid and retinol team with silk amino acids and Dr. Gross' unique ECG Complex for a neck that feels and looks supple and rejuvenated.

Tested for over 30 days and approved by Marta:
I have finally found a neck cream worthy of the adjective “effective.” Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Fortifying Neck Emulsion works. Until now, I have not been able to find a neck cream that can help my swan-like neck keep up with my face. I have tended to resort to using my face serums, but they don’t really work on my neck. DDG’s brand new neck serum is a breakthrough.

I have been using Ferulic + Retinol Fortifying Neck Emulsion for about six weeks or so, since I was given some pre-launch samples and, after pitiful begging, was sent one of the first bottles to come off the manufacturer’s conveyor belt. I have been using it morning and night and, while my neck still has some anti-aging to do before it catches up with my face, it is, at long last, well along the way. The skin is smoother, softer and far less red and rough. It feels firmer. It looks firmer.

I should mention that I have also been using Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peels and I am certain that they have also helped. My neck regimen is currently once a week microdermabrasion with my Trophy device, or the DDG Alpha Beta Medi-Spa once a week, daily Alpha Beta and twice daily Neck Emulsion.

This is first time I have used a DDG product with the signature combination of ferulic and retinol. I have long found ferulic acid to be an important anti-aging ingredient (I even added it to my Truth Vitality Shampoo). It is an antioxidant that can seek and destroy several types of free radicals and it selflessly helps other antioxidants work harder. Retinol, of course, is an exfoliator. Here it is boosted by alpha hydroxy acids. So of course, this begs the question as to whether I am overdoing things with the Alpha Beta Peel pads as well as the Neck Emulsion. I think now that I have made such good progress, I will dial down the pads on my neck and see what happens.

In the meantime, there are two amino acid complexes in the Neck Emulsion (collagen and silk) and I will give them plenty of credit for the way my neck skin is steadily transforming. As I have said many times, my skin does well with amino acids, which are essential for the synthesis of collagen and elastin. There are also some DDG favorites here including watermelon, ellagic acid, phospholipids and sphingolipids.

As always, Dr. Dennis Gross does not formulate for purists and some of you will want to take note of octyldodecanol, a potential irritant, as is sodium hydroxide, and the preservatives disodium EDTA and phenoxyethanol.

I've almost finished my first bottle of this, using two pumps twice a day. Any improvement to sagging is very slight, but this wasn't a major problem for me anyway. What this emulsion has done is smoothed out the skin on my neck to a degree I really didn't think was possible. That's reason enough for me to buy another bottle!

I am very pleased with this product. I have tried numerous neck creams and treatments. At 65 Gravity has taken a toll on my neck. I have seen results with the Dr. Gross neck emulsion after only about 6 weeks of use. It doesn't work miracles, but I am very pleased with the improvement in firmness and softening of lines. I hope to see continued improvement with longer use.

  • I've been using this product twice a day for about 10 days now...and I'm not sure I'm seeing much in the way of improvement. My neck and chest are definitely aging faster than my face (visibly, anyway), and I was hoping this might narrow the gap, but if it is having any effect, it's SUPER subtle.

I also realize it's only been 10 days, so I plan to use it all up and re-evaluate (and then write another review, if I've seen improvement). Which I guess means my personal advice so far would be to not expect much in the way of "instant" visible improvement.

It took awhile for this product to finally arrive on my doorstep, but I was impressed with it after only one application. Now, having used it for a few weeks, I know this is going to be part of my skin routine for the foreseeable future. I am in my mid 50s and like the late, great Nora Ephron, I feel bad about my neck. Well, I felt bad. Now? Not so much.
The skin on my neck is much more taut, but also soft and resilient. Some of the sun damage seems to be fading, too. This product absorbs completely and leaves no residue or stickiness, issues with previous products I've tried..
So, I think I've found it. The perfect neck emulsion. (I thought an emulsion was a light moisturizer, but this seems pretty heavy duty to me.) Thanks, Marta, for turning us on.

I'm 48 with some sagging under my chin and several lines around my neck. I've been using this 2x/daily for about 6 weeks, and I've definitely noticed some mild improvement in the elasticity and firmness of my skin, although I still have a long way to go in that department. This product did help with my skin's overall skin tone but the rings around my neck are still visible. Overall, it is a good product that produces results, but I was really hoping for the same transformation that Marta and KarinP received. I will continue to use it, and maybe will add in the Alpha Beta peels as part of my regimen to see if that boosts my results.

Dr. Dennis Gross' Ferulic + Retinol Fortifying Neck Emulsion is simply a product that I would recommend for all ages. I am in my (late) 50's and as with many people in this age group tend to have sagging lifeless skin in the neck area. This problem definitely shows your age and can make you appear much older than you certainly feel. Over the years I have tried many, many creams, lotions, serums, organic and some not so organic but none have made such an influence on controlling and reversing the neck problem. It is a luxurious cream and penetration is quick with no after film at all. What will happen is your skin will after continued use become firmer. I have no more sagging neck skin at all! My neck looks like it had a mini lift and appears much younger. Absolutely love this potent cream! Wishing I had taken photos kind of results. Fabulous ingredients that work with a budget friendly price.

My neck looks pretty good for being over 50, but one faint ring was starting to appear as well as a little softness and sag under the chin that I wanted to address. I was a little concerned about trying this Ferulic and Retinol product because I have very sensitive and sun damaged skin on my upper chest. After about a month I can say that this product is gentle enough for me to use every day. It has not noticeably affected that light ring on my neck yet, but it seems to have tightened up the skin under my chin. I have been checking my profile occasionally, and suddenly it is looking very defined and firm around the chin.

  • Hi Carla, I am glad that YBF Control and Correct are working out for you. My experience with the DDG neck emulsion is that it is effective on its own. I definitely would not recommend that you use your retinol or the Timeless CE Ferulic as you would be duplicating the active ingredients. Hope that helps

  • Hello again Marta. I've been using YBF Control and Correct after reviewing on your site. I love them!! They really work. I start with a Timeless Co Q10 serum and follow with YBF Control/Correct in the morning. In the evening, I alternate between a 1.0 retinol and Timeless CE Ferulic serum. I follow up with YBF Control and correct. I use ALL the products (well not correct) on my neck. My neck isn't bad but it looks different than a year ago. My question, are you recommending that I start using the neck emulsion and save the above mentioned products just for my face...or should I ADD it? (Note I'm a 52 year old black woman.)

Pam, that is such a good question. Here's what I am thinking - I'm going to finish this bottle and then, hopefully, take a break. The results have been transformative so far and so I am hoping that by finishing the bottle, I'll be satisfied with results to move to a non-retinol serum for maintenance. I can always come back to it later to top up the good work from time to time. I'll report back in a month or two.

I'm with you on the amino acids. My skin loves them a lot. Marta, since this product contains Retinol, do you plan on only short term use?
