Innarah VenoDefense Treatment Creme Hydrating Treatment Creme is a deeply luxurious moisturizing anti-aging cream. Rich in anti-inflammatories such as magnolia tree bark and snow algae extract, while apolactoferrin increases natural hyaluronic acid production for immediate and long lasting hydration.

TIA Review by Emily:
The Hydrating Treatment Crème is packaged in a simple black glass jar and recommended for both morning and evening use. I did use it typically twice a day for just about a month. First and foremost, I loved the texture — seldom have I tried a cream that’s so moisturizing but so very light. The texture is lovely, and (another plus) it has no scent. It leaves no residue at all and works just fine under makeup. Waking up in the morning, I noticed that my skin felt really soft and hydrated.

Innarah is one of those lines that claims a scientific foundation along with abundant benefits (“…The first ever skin care formulation to work in cooperation with your skin's immune system. Created with a unique Fermentation Process, INNARAH® repairs and rejuvenates skin from the inside out”) without explaining too much. The site mentions the founder, Manzoor H. Jaffrey, a pharmaceutical chemist with 40 years experience in skincare. The products do seem to feature natural botanicals, oils and minerals. While the site lists “key ingredients” for each product, it doesn’t provide the full ingredient list, which is printed on the packaging. I find that when a product line makes very scientific claims, I really want a clearer explanation. The proprietary VenoDefense™, which the site says mimics snake venom and is a key anti-ager, is listed on the packaging as: Dipeptide, Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate Polysorbate, Snakeroot-Echinacea Angustifolia.

But in fairness, the long ingredients list is also full of many very nice botanicals and oils, from basil leaf to acacia seed oil. I did note elk antler velvet, which I remember first hearing of when Marta mentioned it in her early review of the Avitalin products (and couldn’t seem to find much of a rationale for it). Sea buckthorn oil reminded me of the Tilvee Age-Defying Cream (one of the world’s great bargains). Plant stem cells and algae all sound good, too.

My final verdict isn’t really an endorsement, though. I definitely like the Innarah cream and the condition it left my skin in. It reminded me of a lighter version of an old favorite, the Sen Zen Infinity cream, and had the nice, light, but hydrating properties of some of the Avitalin creams. Perhaps it was the packaging (the little black jars are very similar), but I thought a comparison might be the terrific BRAD Biophotonic Ultra Elastin Sculpting Firming Cream Complex. Innarah may be as nourishing, but I didn’t really feel it had the same firming and brightening — i.e., anti-aging — effect. And Innarah’s Treatment Crème is a dramatic $300, a pretty substantial premium.

So, ultimately, I think I’d stick with some of those other, equally terrific and far less costly options. But if you’re feeling flush, and you are looking for a very moisturizing, ungreasy cream, give the Innarah Treatment Crème a try.

Our Take...

by Emily Last winter was a miserable one, and my skin was certainly showing it. Feeling drawn and wrinkly, I agreed to test the Innarah VenoDefense Treatment Crème ($300 in the shop). And I found it to be a nice, exceptionally hydrating yet light-textured cream that was well-suited for the... Read Full Article

I used my sample pot from the Discover collection last winter and I was amazed at how hydrating and calming this cream was - I did feel that my skin had literally been infused with velvet at a time of year when I'm often red and dried on my cheeks. It was too rich to use on my T zone, but then I don't have uniformly dried skin. I will think of it longingly this winter but I know I'm not a prime candidate for this cream and therefore can't justify the expense. However, if you have dried, dehydrated skin, I absolutely recommend it, even with the price tag.

I haven't seen the results that others have. I received a sample of this in the Discover with Mara Collection. I find it to be an okay moisturizer but I haven't found it to hydrate any better than a lot of other moisturizers out there. Plus, the cost is prohibitive for me.

I've commented on this product before, so I realize I am borderline annoying, but I can't help myself. When you use a fantastic product, you want to shout it from the rooftops! My face gets dry in the winter and little flakes of skin appear on my nose, usually no matter what I do. And, believe me, I've tried countless products. I dislike greasy or oily-feeling products that leave my face shiny and, well, just plain weird feeling. Veno Defense is amazing beyond words. Hands down, it is my hydrating product of choice when the weather is cold and dry. I can barely get it evenly applied before my skin has literally absorbed the creamy product in an instant or, as they say in Texas, faster than you could talk a dog off a meat wagon! It soaks in even faster if I apply it right after bathing my face in INNARAH Treatment Solution. I will never be without Veno Defense (and Treatment Solution). It's magic in my book.

It is a rich but light-weighted moisturizer, and I love it! I dont like anything greasy. I have experienced many moisturizers but none is my favorite mainly because they just sit on top of my skin. My skin is "wet" outside not inside. This one is absolutely the opposite. I can feel it but it has been absorbed into my skin just leaving a softer, brighter and clean feel sink.
    Love it and love it!

  • I really, really love this *stuff*!!! (already submitted a mini-review-comment last month)

Just now finished purging my e-mails and realized that I just missed the deadline to purchase this at holiday-price @ ½ off.

    AAARGH!!

    Bah, humbug.

Initially I had the same response as Emily, this is a great moisturizer but is there much else going on. Then I realized that this was the point, this is a super hydrating and nourishing cream - which my skin really seems to need right now. I have finished two sample pots and miss it enough to splash out on a replacement. Recommended for anyone needing nourishing, especially for dry and sensitive skin.

    5 stars 4 out of 5

    by Annette

Out comes my INNARAH VenoDefense in the dry fall and winter months when my skin needs extra hydration. I like this product, giving it 4 instead of 5 stars due to price, although I think it's worth it. The non-greasy, creamy formula glides on and a little goes a long way for me. (Sometimes products cost less so you think they are a good deal, but you end up having to use a lot more to get the same results.) Thankfully, VenoDefense does not make my skin feel "heavy" or oily, or look shiny, and it helps calm the redness in my skin. VenoDefense provides a nice matte finish and immediately with application, it feels like a light barrier has been created on my skin. I typically use VenoDefense at night, cleansing first, followed by INNARAH Treatment Solution and then VenoDefense. Love waking up with non-oily, super smooth, soft, firmer skin. Most noteworthy, out of all the products I've used to date (an extensive list), it is the only one that diminishes my "nose crinkles" (fine lines on the upper bridge and sides of my nost that are accentuated when I smile) for more than a few hours. Any good hydration product will diminish them for a short period of time when gently massaged into the skin. With VenoDefense, this effect lasts longer for me and I absoltely love this. "Nose crinkles" are my test for a wrinkle/hydration product.... what effect does it have on my nose crinkles and for how long? VenoDefense is an all-star in this area for me.

EDIT TO ADD - Giving the VenoDefense Treatment Creme a 4 1/2 star rating (Would've been 5, if it didn't contain Lactic Acid)

For me, the plusses of this moisturizer-creme are the ingredients. . No petrolatum, no mineral oil, no glycerine, no olive oil, no parabens, no aloe, no shea butter, no lavender, no linalool, no cocoa butter, no bee's wax, no dimethicone, no argeriline......you get the picture. ...I'm very picky.

I've *experimented* with a slew of different moisturizers -drug store variety to those from high end brand names.

Then, for some time now, I began looking for a phospholipid base moisturizer.

Yes, the price is *awesome*, but this creme has become an awesome Holy Grail moisturizer for me. (non-greasy, no shine, sinks in, not drying, skin plumper, maintains my facial + neck skin integrity and tone, skin *feels* and *looks* strong)

But, would I like to see the price drop? Absolutely!!! (fingers crossed)

My major complaint is that the formulator included lactic acid.. As a sun-lover, I'm not sure my sunscreen is sufficient to counter the effects of the lactic acid content of this creme. (IMHO I would love to have the mfr remove this troublesome *sun-sensitivity* ingredient.)

(Just a note - you've got the wrong picture showing for the VenoDefense Daily Moisturizer on your site - I don't plan on using that creme. Was just reading your reviews on products in the Innarah line)

Now that I have finished my testers, I have changed my view. This is a very, very good moisturizer. That's what it is. I would highly recommend it to anyone with dry and dull skin. I am even seriously considering forking out for the replacement.
