TIA Review by Hailley:
Before using Juice Beauty’s Conditioning Lip Color, I did some research and learned that it was an extremely organic brand. Yet, I still found myself extremely surprised to learn that the ingredients mainly consist of fruit seeds and natural oils! It includes seeds from grapes, pomegranates, raspberry, cranberry, strawberry, blueberry, kiwi, and acai berry. Honestly, the ingredients list reads more like a fruit salad than anything I would expect to see in a lip balm!

Even including all the natural oils (sweet orange, tea tree, and jojoba), I had never tried a product of which I was actually familiar with so many of the ingredients. The only components I had to look up were in they “May contain” section (titanium dioxide, iron oxides, and mica), and even though those were chemical based, they didn’t seem to pose serious health risks in small doses.

Upon application, it went on smoothly and had a slightly oiled texture when I rubbed my lips together. Not an unpleasant, but just different. I’m in my twenties, so I am guilty of using many shiny lip-glosses that feel an inch thick and have a gooey-sticky quality to them. This was certainly a change. It also had a much more natural scent, I would say the strongest smell in this is the citrus, which I didn’t personally love, though it wasn’t obtrusive.

What I really came to love about the Conditioning Lip Color is that it evens out your lip color very nicely; it’s a light enough shade (pink) that you don’t need a mirror to apply it and it will still look great. I mainly used it as an undercoat and then applied a clear or nude lip-gloss over top. It gives a really natural make up look that I found perfect for day-to-day life, such as working in the office, or running errands. I would recommend this to anyone that needs a little more than chapstick but less than lipstick for to wear casually.

Your Take...

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

With its organic ingredients, Juice Beauty’s Conditioning Lip Color is a treat. It glides on easily and is definitely moisturizing. My only criticism (and it's small) is that the color is a bit muted, but I still like it and recommend it.

I would definitely recommend Juice Beauty's Conditioning Lip Color! It lasted me throughout the day – I only had to touch it up slightly for a darker lip – and kept my lips feeling moisturized.
