TIA Review by Marta
If anyone asked, I would have described Kat Burki as a nature-meets-luxury skin care line. But I wouldn’t have screamed “anti-aging” from the rooftops. Until, that is, I tried the new Form Control Marine Collagen Gel. Kat Burki is natural, luxurious and a serious anti-aging formulator. Form Control gets results.
The first thing I noticed was the light and refreshing scent of cucumber. The texture is just about perfect, a gel that has the hint of a cream about it, making it easy to handle and absorb, no pilling or grease, just good coverage. To really put Form Control through its paces, I made sure to use it on the more stubborn horizontal lines on my forehead, as well as my face and neck. I am seeing, after a month, real results, especially on the forehead lines. Random glances in the mirror when, say brushing teeth, elicit a little smug feeling of satisfaction. That woman’s forehead is looking smoother… and that woman is me!
Looking at Form Control Marine Collagen Gel’s formula, I can see that Kat Burki has gotten serious about skin care. Right from the get-go, she kicks off with her proprietary KB5 Complex with five botanical extracts, including gotu kola, a much researched anti-inflammatory that can strengthen the skin and boost type 1 collagen.
The marine collagen in the product title is actually keratin from an alga. Plus, there are plant stem cells. For me, the heart of the formula is the blend of 13 or so amino acids from silk proteins. My skin seems to respond very well to amino acids and I think that this is why I am faring so well with this serum. Probably not surprising since 75% of my body (and yours) is made up of amino acids. They are the building blocks of proteins and they get together and form chains to create our anti-aging friends, peptides. Amino acids are an essential part of the synthesis of collagen and elastin.
Other good things include green tea, hyaluronic acid (botanically-sourced), rosehip and reishi mushroom. There are no fillers or wasted ingredients, which means that your dollars are mostly going to things that are worthwhile for your skin. There’s not much to dislike (the preservatives include the relatively benign ethylhexylglycerin) except sodium benzoate, a toxin and skin irritant that can damage DNA.
All in all, this serum is a great success and I would recommend it as a preventative to those, like me, who need help fading lines and boosting skin radiance.

Hi Karen, it is a little bit thicker than a serum. But still light and easily absorbed. I apply a thin layer of I Pekar Moisturizer over it as needed.

Can you tell me if this is serum, being a gel, thus thicker than most serums, can be used under a moisturizer?
Thank you. Sounds incredible!
