TIA Review by Marta:
Gone are the days when toners had to do away with the lingering residue of a bad cleanser and so now they have to make a meaningful contribution to my regimen. La Vie Celeste's toner backs up the cleanser's antioxidants and then some.

I love that the first ingredient is aloe and that it is closely followed by vitamin B. Plus there is the very useful addition of horse chestnut, which is helpful for broken veins. As is ginkgo, which also boosts collagen production. With spirulina, bilberry, reseveratrol and melon, this toner has as much antioxidant kick as a serum.

Our Take...

I don’t think I have come across a facial cleanser with clay as an ingredient before. Masks, of course, but not a cleanser. The clays (there are two) give La Vie Celeste’s Restorative Mother Of Pearl Exfoliating Cleanser ($40 in the TIA shop) an almost creamy texture that enables it to be... Read Full Article

Toners are so underrated and underutilized; such an easy way to squeeze in wonderful actives/ingredients while making your following step more effective (absorption is increased.) By ingredient list, this is one of the top 3 toners I've found (I'm a toner afficianado!) though the price stings a little. I decant the bottle into a reused glass spray bottle from a previous purchase and I find this helps the bottle go further. With consistent use, this toner lightens post-acne inflammation and seems to help my skin maintain a healthy mantle

I won't be repurchasing this toner, but that's pretty much exclusively due to price. Depending on your toner usage and budget it may well be worth it but I am liberal with my toner and went through a bottle in about a month. It left my skin feeling soft, hydrated, and refreshed. I see a bit of an immediate brightening effect but I don't feel after two bottles (used along with other LCV products but not the serum) that I see a permanent change. It's a great toner, but it didn't perform so much better than more affordable options that I feel it's worth the expense.

I've always felt toners were an unnecessary extra step in the cleansing, exfoliating, treating, moisturizing process. That is until I read about and therefore tried this toner. It doesn't just remove what my cleanser missed. It actually benefits my skin. From the time I was a little girl, my grandmother insisted that aloe was a miracle healing ingredient. She actually grew aloe vera plants and would break off a leaf and use the juice on burns and cuts. Not only does this toner have aloe vera leaf gel as its first ingredient, it also has vitamins and extracts that are beneficial. So, what's one more step if it can actually improve my skin?

ok, me & toners do NOT get along, never have. Until now, I have rosacea & yes I get the yearly $500 laser treatment to keep it under control. This is the FIRST toner I have ever been able to use, in my entire 49 years! THANK YOU TIA!

PS I 'd also like to add that as a toner in and of itself it's fantastic . I just got carried away with my own discovery. It's helping to fight little pimples from doing an hour of cardio every day. Keep it in your gym bags (or purse) and just spritz it on during the day. I never wipe it off.

I'm the guy on here that likes to find multi uses for products. I use the La Vie Celeste cleanser as a shaving lotion. Recently I trimmed the size of my beard and had 1/8 hairs. Normally when I do that I have to soak it with hot wash rags..blah blah blah...So, I used the cleanser to shave, it go me thinking what other product I have by LVC will multi task. Along comes the hottest summer and working out 2-3 hours a day and sometimes running errands right after the gym, it's the perfect storm for jock itch. Yeah, not a great topic, but it happens..Anyway I had that powder so I used it and it stung like made after a shower. Having used the toner after the glycolic mask (highly recommended if you like your skin to feel like a baby's butt) and the sting is gone immediately. So, I put some toner in a spray bottle and decided to give it a shot on the male version of yeast infection. Within 24 hours it was gone. I don't know what's in it to make it go away, not sting, and not have that odor the ointments and powders have for this condition, but it works. I suggest passing this along to your partners, husbands, boyfriends or any guy you see constantly pulling at his crotch as though the boogie man has made it disappear (sure sign the guy has the itch). So my recommendation is put it in a small spritz bottle, spritz on before working out, and then after drying off from your shower. LVC..love it. See--simple is more!
