Prana Reishi Mushroom Shield is a lightweight, daytime moisturizer with SPF 45 derived from organic plant stem cell mushrooms and micronized zinc. These ingredients are designed to block UVA/UVB rays while reducing redness and inflammation.

Directions:
Apply daily in the morning on face, chest, hands, and arms. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive.

The first thing I noticed about Prana Reishi Mushroom Shield was its delicious scent and silky texture. Something between a lotion and a cream, it feels instantly nourishing to the skin. It absorbed quickly into my skin and left a pleasing dewy feeling that lasted all day. It provided a sufficient layer of protection in the drier cold weather. Even on a long weekend in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado it provided ample protection in the total lack of humidity (however, an additional layer of high SPF protection was needed to protect against that region's exceptionally strong sun).
The only drawback I found was that, perhaps due to the sun-protection ingredients (micronized zinc), the moisturizer left a subtle shine, which was easily mitigated with my usual mineral powder.
This product is definitely what it says it is. It is clearly packed with powerful ingredients and not the usual fillers. After two months of daily use, I can say that I trust the product to protect the delicate exposed skin of my face, neck and chest. The generous 2 oz. package will easily last three months of daily use, and the pump dispenser eased my hectic morning routine.

I love this moisturizer!!!. I have oily skin, and it works great for me. It's doesn't make my skin more oily. It has a nice SPF factor, though I haven't been able to try it during the summer.
It has a very pleasant smell too.

It was my life-saver during my trip to Sri-Lanka. It is a great moisturizer for tropical climate. It also worked fine for me as a sunscreen - I traveled a lot over the island with 40C sometimes on sun, and I did not get any sunburn.
I really smells divine - natural and fresh. Skin feels so smooth and silky after applying Prana Reishi Mushroom Shield.
My pores tend to clog fast from any decent sunscreen. But I did not get any break-outs even when using it on very hot sweaty weather.
Still when I came back to snowy winter I found its moisturizing effect not enough for outside - would keep it till spring comes.

I love this product! I have been using for about 5 months now...started using at the very begininng of spring. It has a wonderful scent and moisturizes my mid-40's skin perfectly. I use a serum underneath for extra skin health benefits and it blends without any issues. I hope this continues to be moisturizing enough through the winter months because I love this product so much with the 45 SPF protection which I need in the south. I tend to have drier hormonal skin prone to blemishes and have had zero issues with this product. It has actually made my skin so much healthier! I am a Prana Reishi loyalist.

I enjoy it as a day cream but I haven't tested it under intense sun. I can't imagine any ingredient causing a chemical burn unless you're sensitive to octyl methoxycinnamate, and even then, I'm not sure that by itself, it can cause a severe reaction. I have rosacea and can't wear most sunscreen products.

I was excited about the non-toxic ingredients and the possibility of finally finding a sunscreen that wouldn't dry out my skin. Alas, after three days of use this gave me a rash that I thought was a sunburn (though I hadn't been in the sun). One trip to the dermatologist confirmed that it was a chemical burn. $40 in the trash, and my search continues. I gave it 2 stars because although it didn't work, it smelled ok, was relatively non-toxic, and I think I just have really sensitive skin.

I love the smell of this sunscreen. It also moisturizes nicely too. It is natural and I believe it is benefiting my skin while it is shielding my skin.

5 star -day moisturizer, 2or 3 star- sunblock. For some reason My T-zone sweats it off right after i apply it in the morning. I piled it in my face one morning because I knew that I would be in the sun all day...I came back home with a nasty sun burn on my face. It is by far one of the best smelling products around, it does a great job of sealing in the moisture on your face, silky smooth, and has some cutting edge ingredients. However, it does not cut it as a sunblock and that was my main purpose for it in my skin care routine. I probably wont purchase it again for my 31 year old combination skin. It might work better for more mature skin. I like the idea of it better than I like it!
