ReLuma Illuminating Anti-Aging Cleanser

ReLuma Illuminating Anti-Aging Cleanser is a scent-free, gel cleanser designed to remove excess oil and makeup while also providing anti-aging benefits with human conditioned media. This cleanser also helps to maintain skin's natural pH and calm skin to reduce inflammation. Suitable for all skin types.
Directions:
In the morning and evening, apply a small amount of ReLuma Cleanser to moistened hands and work into lather, massaging gently onto face and neck. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

I was initially a little surprised to see that Invitrx had extended its ReLuma line to include a cleanser. Sometimes beauty companies get obsessed with creating a range with one of everything when they'd be better off sticking to their knitting. What if the makers one of the best anti-wrinkle serums I have come across had blown it by getting into the cleanser business with a mediocre offering.
I was even more surprised to see that ReLuma Cleanser hits the road running with the line's signature ingredient, human conditioned media. This is a collection of growth factors (proteins) that signal cells and studies show that they can increase collagen and fibronectin.
I do like the idea of cleansers doing more than merely lifting grime and so I have been rubbing ReLuma's Cleanser into my skin and leaving it there before rinsing for a few minutes whilst I clean my teeth and tidy my bathroom. Hopefully, I'm getting some of the benefits of the conditioned media that way.
This cleanser does foam a little on contact with water and the soapy stuff is provided by quillaja saponin, a Chilean tree that provides a natural surfactant. It is given a hand by coca betaine, another gentle cleansing agent. There's also a spot of calendula (marigold), an anti-inflammatory. The only controversial ingredient is, inevitably, a preservative: methylisothiazolinone, or MIT as it is sometimes known. This can be an irritant.
I have found that ReLuma's Cleanser is gentle and not at all drying. Note that a very little of this cleanser goes a very long way - a small pea-sized squirt is all that is required. Plus it fulfills its basic function of cleaning the skin (it removes light foundation and concealer, but you'll need a make up remover for the rest of your war paint). Men will like the simple, scent-free formula too.
ReLuma's serum is one of the best weapons this wrinkle warrier has in her arsenal and I like the thought that it is getting some help from back up troops when I cleanse.

Ok, I like experimenting and regularly try new products (thanks TIA, your recommendations are so appreciated!), and after using BRAD's cleansers for several months I have to add another useful info on ReLuma, because:
1) it erased the redness out of my face (which I started to think was the after-effect of a hard water and no matter what products I tried, morning cleansing left my face slightly irritated pink at best and simply red at worst);
2) together with irritation, ReLuma took away 90% of my breakouts! Yes! It is true! I your reason for breakouts lies primarily in irritation I'd really give ReLuma a chance - maybe replacing just one cleanser would work better than replacing a bigger part of your whole regimen;
3) not only me but also my boyfriend who came back from a long-term trip to Asia (lack of proper cleanser, mild sunburns after random sun exposure, dryness, redness, clogged pores, etc.) in only a week or so of twice daily usage of Illuminating cleanser (and I want to make a point of no other products were ever used by him during this week) stated that he really loves the cleanser, and his skin loves it even more! Irritation is gone, his skin is again soft and calm!
We are both 30, have combination skin prone to clogged pores and easy irritation. Really, I decided to always have it by my side during my further experimenting with new cleansers.

I have been using it for a couple of months now and I haven't broken out and my red, sensitive cheeks are calmed after cleansing - this is a first. Even better, my skin is not taut or dried out after cleansing. Like Marta, I leave it on for a few minutes in case I get extra benefits from the growth factors. I love how smooth this cleanser leaves my skin.
My hunt for a cleanser is finally over. This is a keeper!

First cleanser that does not irritate my extra-sensitive skin at all! Does not dry or tighten skin. Has very delicate citrus scent. Package is very convenient - a single squeeze foamed is enough to clean face with a slight make-up an a neck. One bottle served me a bit more that 2 months. Very happy with this cleanser and will be buying again.

I have mild rosacea and incredibly sensitive skin so a lot of anti-aging cleansers are too harsh for my skin. This cleanser is wonderfully mild and non-drying.
I massage a pea-sized amount into my face twice daily and leave it on while getting ready. I rinse it using my clarisonic. I find this regimen leaves my tender skin very soft and super clean!
I've been using it for a couple of weeks and have seen a dramatic difference in my skin's luminescence.

This is an excellent mild cleanser for the face and eye area.
It works very well with an exfoliating unit like a Clairsonic.
