briogeo rosarco shampoo and conditioner

I know how much we Truth-In-Agers revel in a new beauty breakthrough — new ingredients, new discoveries, even new packaging gets us excited! And when it comes to skin care there are definitely some pretty astounding products out there. But for some reason, advancements in hair care seem to be lacking. This is likely why Marta developed her own line (which is all I use lately). I am always in search of that new magical hair care product that will tame my dry frizzy curls.

So when I was asked to review Briogeo, an all natural hair care line, I jumped at the chance! I was sent the Briogeo Rosarco Reparative Shampoo ($22) and Briogeo Rosarco Reparative Conditioner ($24). This product line is meant to repare, hydrate and strengthen weak and damaged hair — sounds like a good fit. I was intrigued right away, because the formulations are relatively clean and there are some nice, yet classic, natural ingredients in there — rosehip, argan & coconut oils, vitamin E and B5.

Sadly I have to report this is no miracle fix for my hair. Both of these products really did nothing for me. The scent, texture and performance was just like any typical drugstore shampoo or conditioner. That’s not to say that’s a bad thing — my hair was definite clean and my tangles were gone — but at this price point I expect more.

And although the ingredients are certainly better than your average drugstore shampoo it didn’t seem worth it.  In fact if you are looking for a clean shampoo and conditioner with really great formulations at decent price point I would recommend the line Acure. Briogeo seems quite similar to this line, but more expensive. Alas, my search for that new magical hair product continues. If anyone knows of any please share!
