CV Skinlabs Calming Moisture- reader reviewed and recommended

When Bette Midler once sang of a seed beneath the bitter snows that would bloom into a rose, she may well have been talking about the efficacy of CV Skinlabs Calming Moisture ($49 in the shop). Sans tingling sensation, a small application of this potent cream feels like a film of protection against harsh, biting winds, all the while moisturizing and calming irritation.

My dryness-prone skin is often the victim of any weathering above or below room temperature, so the protection offered by CV Skinlabs feels more like my “handy” guardian (since I used it exclusively on my hands) than a simple quick fix. I had nearly used up my entire 2 ounces in a mere two weeks! It’s safe to say I owe that to my comparatively junkie-related habit of application, due to a breakout of eczema (roughly six times a day). If you’re preparing to brave the cold in an outdoor activity or are attempting to calm irritated skin, I’d recommend a small dose of this lotion for good measure.

As enamored as I am with CV Skinlabs, my only complaint is the packaging; I wouldn’t call myself the most dexterous when it comes to my fine motor skills, so I often found myself pumping out a bit too much. As a result, a greasy texture that’s otherwise not present was produced. But should you possess better equipped phalanges and steadier nerves, I wouldn’t think twice about finding this lotion greasy.
