A shampoo and conditioner that actually brightens? Why, I've never heard of such a thing!

An organic shampoo and conditioner? Why, I've never tried such a thing!

When someone tries a shampoo and conditioner for the first time, they are looking for pleasant-smelling, clarifying, moisturizing or color-safe properties that will make their hair feel healthy and shiny. I hit the jackpot when I used Juice Beauty Organics Brightening Shampoo & Conditioner ($10 each)! It met my expectations and then some. What makes these products unique is that they are made with certified organic ingredients and are free of parabens, pesticides, petroleum, phthalates, sulfates, propylene glycol, artificial colors and synthetic fragrances. In other words, all the stuff that's in my usual shampoo and conditioner!

The main ingredients of the products are organic orange juice and aloe leaf juice. Doing a bit of research, I discovered that aloe vera leaf juice hydrates, moisturizes, helps prevent hair loss, reduces dandruff and helps maintain the pH level of hair and scalp. Sunflower seed extract contains more vitamin E than any other oil used in hair care and as an antioxidant, it protects against free radicals from the environment. Glycerin helps to improve smoothness, provide lubrication and acts as a humectant. The mineral reflectives condition and increase shine and vibrancy.

I've used the Juice Organics and nothing but Juice Organics for the past month and can honestly say that from the first use, my hair appeared soft, shiny and yes, brighter! I've been so focused on using products that are good to and for my face and body but hadn't really given much thought to doing the same for my hair. Each time I used Juice Organics, I felt like I was feeding and nourishing my hair.

I am particular when it comes to conditioner as I prefer a thick, creamy conditioner and I got just that with Juice Organics. I loved the scent, too. The tubes feature citrus fruits on the front and the products smelled fresh, clean and citrusy. I used both products every other day for one month and have about half a tube left of both (each tube is 10 oz). You don't need a lot of this product when you use it — it's very effective. The products are formulated for normal, oily, fine hair. My hair tends to be a little on the dry side due to the fact that I color it, so I was slightly concerned it wouldn't be moisturizing enough. However, it was absolutely lovely and I had plenty of volume.

Juice Organics delivered everything it claimed it would do and my hair couldn't be happier.
