I've been using the Truth Vitality Brow Empower ($39 in the shop) for about two months, courtesy of the Dare to Try program. I have never used a product like this before because I didn’t think anything could help my sad eyebrows, however I decided to give it a try. After using this product for two months I’ve changed my thinking. It works!

My eyebrows were thin for years due to over-plucking (I’m 56). When they began to lose their melanin, I started plucking the white lashes, making them even thinner. Needless to say, I ended up with sparse eyebrows. They were also significantly lighter in color than they were years ago. However, soon after I began using this product, my eyebrows showed improvement in color and thickness.

All was going well until three weeks into the trial period. I had them waxed (not a good move). The end result was a bit shocking. My eyebrows were so thin I couldn’t give a review one week after the waxing, so I called the Dare to Try support number and asked for a one month extension. They’re very supportive and told me to take whatever time I needed to give an accurate review. I’ve been using the Brow Empower for two months, and although my eyebrows are still not as wide as they were before the waxing, they are growing in fuller than they were prior to the trial period. They also still appear darker, so I am very pleased.

The active ingredients in this product are copper peptides, emu oil and vitamin B5. These ingredients are supposed to help restore eyebrows that have thinned due to over-plucking, hormonal and other issues, bringing them back to their natural state. I think the copper peptides are the key ingredient.

I can think of one possible con. A day or two into the second month, the applicator wouldn’t function correctly; it was stuck due to the hole on top being clogged (I think I had gone a couple of days without using it). I fixed that problem with a toothpick, but I believe the applicator could use some reengineering as it happened to me more than once.

The pros far outweigh the con. This product really does restore color to the eyebrows and fills in sparse patches with new hair. After two months of using it, I use less eyebrow pencil than before. In fact, I sometimes go without using the eyebrow pencil, which I rarely did before. There is no way of telling how much product is left, but it’s still going strong, so not a bad deal at $39. The Truth Vitality Brow Empower worked for me. This is a product I’d highly recommend.
