Size: 1.7 oz (50 ml)
One of Sciote's best-sellers, the Sciote Micro Derm Crème is a gentle exfoliating creme that buffs away dirt and dead skins cells with spherical granules of Silica as it softens with Shea Butter and Jojoba and Grape seed Oils. It also contains natural emollients which keep your skin smooth and supple, even on days when you haven't used it, such as capric triglycerides and vegetable glycerine.
Directions:
Apply a small amount to the skin and rub gently in a circular pattern. Rinse with warm water. Use 1-2 times per week.
TIA Review by Imelda:
There are currently 13 Sciote products available in the Truth In Aging store, and I predict that the Micro Derm Crème will most likely be the 14th and a welcome new addition. This crème is outstanding and does what it is meant to do, even on the very first time of usage! Not only did my skin feel velvety smooth with the pores amazingly tightened and greatly reduced in size, but it also appeared vibrant and glowing.
For my mature 50-plus combination skin, which is soon approaching another milestone, I was hoping for this product to be an effective exfoliating cream that gently scrubs away dead skin cells and any dirt that may have stubbornly remained after cleansing. I used my tiny spatula to scoop out just about 1/4 teaspoon of this thick white grainy crème and gently rubbed it in circular motions for about one or two minutes all over my face. Immediately after rinsing, my skin felt invigorated and perfectly prepped for application of moisturizers and make-up. My skin’s smooth and soft texture is noticeable even on the days when I don’t use it (I only use it once or twice a week).
Based on my research (referencing mostly TIA’s database information), Micro Derm Crème contains natural ingredients that are recognized to be highly beneficial for the skin: 4 % shea butter, an all-natural vitamin A crème that is moisturizing, anti-aging, healing and protecting to the skin; hemp seed oil, which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and also helps reduce pore size, blackheads and acne; avocado oil, which is high in “sterolin,” a substance known to soften skin and reduce hyperpigmentation; grapeseed oil, which is a natural antioxidant rich in vitamin E and also moisturizing; jojoba oil, which has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties; natural emollients such as capric triglycerides, vegetable glycerine, that are soothing skin conditioning agents; stearic acid and cetyl alcohol, which are emulsifiers used to bind and thicken the cream; and lastly, caprylyl glycol, an antimicrobial skin conditioning agent combined with phenoxyethanol to preserve the formula.
The Sciote Advanced Micro Derm Crème comes in a 4-oz jar, so with the once or twice a week usage, it will probably last at least six months or more. Priced at $60, some may say it’s a high-end exfoliant. Though it is good for most skin types, it is not specifically meant for use on skin that is sensitive and acne prone. I would not hesitate to recommend Sciote Advanced Micro Derm Crème for those who want smooth radiant skin!

I am delighted to report that this product did work for me, and I completely get why this is a Sciote bestseller. This extremely effective skin resurfacing cream gives me a completely refreshed looking complexion and a dewy, youthful glow. My skin is prepared for my regimen to come and seems to be more receptive to my serums. It is so good that it really requires some discipline not to use it more than once or twice a week.
Like Imelda and Karen, I can heartily recommend Sciote Micro Derm Crème as a weekly (or so) skin resurfacer. And I'm especially pleased to report that it is well tolerated by my sensitive skin and it has earned a place in my regimen.

This mighty product is full of “punch”! I have to say, my expectations were exceeded in that a little bit goes a very long way in the use of this product. The sensation, upon putting this on my face and gently rubbing in a circular motion, was grainy, but in a good way— it felt like it was at work. The Sciote Micro Derm Crème was not abrasive, even after one to two minutes on my skin. After rinsing, my face felt invigorated, glowing and ready for the next steps in my skin care routine. I use this twice a week to maintain my glowing skin and reduce/minimize pores.
The Sciote Advanced Micro Derm Crème comes in a 4-oz jar, so with the once or twice a week usage, it will probably last at least six months or more…I would say more, as I have had to use very little of this product to achieve GREAT results! This product is a “steal” for the price you pay and the results obtained.
Does it do what it says it will do? YES!!! I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone, with the exception of those who have sensitive skin. This product is a winner!

I was really excited when offered the opportunity to test and review Sciote Advanced Micro Derm Crème. This microdermabrasion cream claims to remove dead skin cells, dirt and impurities while refreshing the skin. It has silica beads that provide the exfoliation. It also has natural avocado, jojoba, hemp and grapeseed oils, along with 4% shea butter—all good for skin. I used a small amount of cream on my damp face and gently started rubbing it in. I find this cream a little more abrasive than I would want my microdermabrasion cream to be. You can feel the grains against your skin. I was very, very gentle since I didn’t want to tear my skin. I washed my face and it did feel smooth and clean. I also used it to remove the “peelies” after the use of retinol. It is also good for removing peeling and dead skin after I do my peels. (I do that on every fourth day.)
Although this cream has beneficial ingredients and does remove the dead skin, I wouldn’t add it to my skin care routine because I find it a little too abrasive, mostly due to the sIlica. I could feel the particles while using it, even though I was really gentle. I should note that I don't have sensitive skin and I regularly use at-home peels, so my skin is used to exfoliation. Also, after being washed off, it feels like there is still something left on my face and I think that is because of the shea butter.
Overall, it is a good exfoliant but a little too rough and not something that I would like to be a part of my regular skin care.

The review associated with the product description page is always the first one written. In this case Imelda's. Adding Naheed's, mine and Karen's is a manual operation and we are a bit behind. We'll be updating shortly and in the meantime, Naheed's review is here: https://www.truthinaging.com/review/sciote-advanced-micro-derm-creme-2
