SimySkin's cleanser uses a blend of herbs and essential oils to simultaneously hydrate and heal the skin. I have finally joined the ranks of Truth In Aging community reviewers who love SimySkin, a skincare company that targets specific ages and formulates based on the principles of ‘systems biology” (understanding the whole is greater than the parts) after testing the excellent SimySkin Gel Cleanser.
I am very particular about cleansers and have a personal theory that you can tell quite a lot about a brand’s approach to skincare. In the case of SimySkin’s Gel Cleanser, there are no nasty surfactants and not one single filler, stabilizer or emulsifier. Just things that are good for your skin (and the inevitable preservative).
One of my all-time favorite ingredients is here: moringa oil. I don’t know why this miraculous botanical isn’t in every cleanser. Moringa trees have more nutrients than any other and seven times the vitamin C found in oranges. But wait, it gets better. Moringa filters out toxins and pollutants (it was used for centuries to clean wells) and is more than a match for New York City. And it gets even better. Moringa has more zeatin, a powerful antioxidant, than any other plant.
As a cleanser, this is lightly sudsing and nicely hydrating. It would be a good cleanser for those with dry skin, troubled skin. Although those with oily or combination skin will be fine with it as well. It does remove makeup. My skin responded extremely well with daily use and my skin looked clean, restored and clear, as well as feeling soft. And only a little of the 4oz bottle is needed, making this long-lasting and good value.
