Sweetsation Lumi*Essence Organic Advanced Brightening Repair Treatment is a face serum that works to correct dark spots, age spots, sun spots and freckles caused by sun damage and melasma. This formula contains potent ingredients such as viamin C, alpha arbutin, kojic acid, and milk thistle, along with exfoliating papaya and pineapple enzymes, to repair discoloration and uneven tone. The result is more even-toned and radiant looking skin.
Directions:
Dispense one to two pumps twice a day to the affected area. Application of sunscreen of at least SPF 30 is mandatory while using this product.

The offer to test the Sweetsation Lumi*Essence Organic Advanced Brightening Repair Treatment came just in time. I have started noticing some dark patches on my lower cheeks on both sides. I already have a birthmark that runs from the side of my mouth onto my cheeks. So seeing these dark spots was very worrisome for me. I tried a couple of things but nothing seemed to be working. I was searching the internet to find a product to treat these patches, and the email from TIA seemed like an answer. It doesn’t have hydroquinone, which is a big plus for me since I am allergic to it.
There is a very long list of ingredients in the Lumi*Essence brightening treatment. Yet it doesn’t contain harmful ingredients and is rated a 3 (a low to moderate hazard) on EWG’s website. Kojic acid and Alpha Arbutin are the two key ingredients that aid in the lightening of dark spots. It also has papaya and pineapple extract, which are great exfoliators and help to even skin tone as well. Another good ingredient is niacinamide, which decreases hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles; and improves skin elasticity. Milk thistle acts as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and also provides UV protection.
My dark spots are not due to sun exposure as I always wear sunscreen, a hat and use an umbrella if I have to go out for a longtime in the sun. The discoloration seems more like melasma, but since I haven’t seen a dermatologist about this, I am not sure. It could be hormonal. Anyway, I started using the Lumi*Essence only on the spots twice a day. It is very rich cream and you need to use only a pea-size amount to cover a large area. Massage it well, so all of it is absorbed. After two weeks of use, I noticed a slight fading of the larger spot. It made me really happy. The next morning I was using my Ultra Renew, and I thought why not use the green light (for skin brightening) on these spots – why didn’t I think of that before? So I started using the green light for four to five minutes around the spot area whenever I had time in the morning or evening, and I saw a much greater improvement in the fading of the spots. Had I started the use of Ultra Renew green light before, I am sure these dark spots would be much lighter.
I’ll continue to use both, as I still have almost half of Lumi*Essence left. I am so happy I was given the opportunity to use this product. I am sure with continued use of both, these spots will go away. My birthmark is very deep in the skin and I don’t know if this cream will have any effect on that, but I am using it there too.
So, all in all, this product is a winner for me.

I'm interested in learning more about Sweetsation but noticed some ingredients that concerned me. For example, in this cream, there is Phenoxyethanol. Can anyone give me advice on this?

I have been using this cream for a while now. I had hiperpigmentation on my chin(around the lips). And this cream helped me a lot to reduce the pigmentation. Now you won't notice the color difference,before it was very noticeable.

I'm 42 & have always had a youthful appearance. However, I am now seeing fine lines and some sun spots. I have been trying natural ideas but would love to try this. I have tried the sunscreen and loved it so I know the products are of great quality!

I love, Love, LOVE this moisturizer. I use it in the evening and again lightly in the morning as a primer before applying my makeup. It never creases, either. After using it for about two months now, I don't even have to wear concealer under my eyes because they are that much brighter and smoother.
I have always had problems with breakouts and oily skin with moisturizers and I haven't had one issue with Sweetsation. I have been using their products for quite some time now and I fall in love with everything new they come out with.

My first impression was a very moisturizing and healthy product. It can replace a serum plus moisturizing routine. It was moisturizing enough for me during the winter. I didn't notice much of a brightening affect, but it's a healthy product that's good for my skin. I have also used and will use Mad Hippie C serum. The Mad Hippie C serum seems to be more intense as a serum is suppose to be. I will probably use my Mad Hippie serum in the summer with a sunscreen and return to this product in the colder months.

I have done research on this product and I can only find good to excellent results by using it. I just got it and will post my outcome in 2 weeks . Wish me luck!

I received a small sample sized jar of this. I wasn't really sure what it was, and put it away for use when traveling. I ran out of my Mad Hippie Vitamin C serum, and was searching around for something to substitute it with until I could replace my Mad Hippie C serum. I suddenly remembered I had this in my makeup bag. I pulled it out, and sure enough it had Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, COQ10, and I think, niacinamide, along with tons of other organic extracts, etc. The only thing I noticed that might not be optimal was the silica, but it was near the end of the list of ingredients.
I looked up its claims on the website, and it seemed to be a suitable temporary replacement for my regular Vit. C cream. The ingredients seemed excellent, so I was more than willing to save a few bucks, and try it out. It is very creamy and penetrates the skin well. A green pea-sized amount will cover your entire face and neck. I have used it for less than 1 week, but my skin appeared brighter this morning than it had looked since I ran out of my regular vitamin C serum. I think I will finish this deluxe sized sample, and update my progress with it later. I just might like this!! Good price for 2 ounces, too !
