TIA Review by Karlyn:
I’ve been using the W3LL PEOPLE Narcissist Stick Foundation for about the past six weeks.. It comes in a stick form and may be used as both a foundation and concealer and I’ve used it as both. I especially like wearing this on weekends or those days when I just don’t want a full face of foundation.

Let me first say that I was intimidated by this stick form of foundation and had low expectations for its performance. I am a creature of habit and have always used a liquid foundation. For me, a good foundation must have the following criteria: 1) it must be easy to put on; 2) it must have staying power for long days; and 3) it must give me a natural, healthy (youthful) appearance. I’ve used many different lines of makeup – from high end to budget friendly. The high-end products were great; however, I have a hard time justifying the price. The budget-friendly products, in many cases, do not give sufficient coverage or gave too much coverage where you need a spatula to remove it, or the color “changes” during the day.

Bottom line: Narcissist is now my absolute favorite. I did find it a bit difficult to spread on my face compared to my liquid foundations, but it is superior to my liquid foundations in every other way.

The tube of foundation itself is very simple, sleek and satiny. The foundation is a stick-design foundation and comes in a roll-up form that also makes it convenient for travel and on-the-go application. I also noticed that the tube is not 100% full, i.e., the tube could be rolled down even before I started using the product. Nevertheless, it looked like a lot of product that would last awhile.

The product has a woodsy, yet minty scent. The combination of different extracts and oils also explains why a few hours of wear might create a dewy glowing – not oily – effect on your skin. There are six shades available, and samples are available on the W3LL PEOPLE website. I received my foundation in shade #2 (Fair Golden), which was perfect for my complexion. To apply this stick foundation, I dotted it on, and then and used the heat of my fingers to blend. I generally wore this foundation for 10 to 12 hours and was quite impressed with the amount of coverage by the end of the day.

I was also impressed by how natural my skin looked wearing W3LL PEOPLE Narcissist. I like a very natural, dewy look, but that’s hard to find in a foundation, with a lot of emphasis now on matte finishes. This foundation does the trick better than most, and without looking thick and gummy. Despite the natural look, the amazing thing is that it lasts a long time. I was pleasantly surprised that this foundation has true staying power. If you do not like the dewy look, it’s nothing a little dusting of powder cannot fix.

Overall, I absolutely love this foundation. It offers really natural coverage and feels wonderful during wear, like it is nourishing your skin instead of just sitting on top of it. It works wonderfully alone or as a base under mineral foundation when you need heavier coverage. I love the stick form – just toss it in my purse and go. I can’t say enough great things about this product. I am a convert!

This is the best makeup product I've ever used. I'm not a fan of foundation, but I still really appreciate being able to use it when I want to cover up redness / blotchiness / whatever needs covering up. This foundation has made me a convert. First, I had the luck of getting a perfect color match (for fair skinned folks with pink undertones, it doesn't get any more perfect than the Light Pink). Second, the stick format is amazingly easy in application - fast, precise, and even coverage. Finally, the product itself is lovely. It smells great, covers as it should while looking remarkably natural. I can't imagine makeup getting any better than this.

I have never found a better foundation/concealer for my 35 year old oily skin. It is the first that has never broken me out (I'm only acne prone when I wear makeup) and it's a dream to apply. I have some areas with large pores and/or mild to moderate redness and average under eye circles along with the very beginning of marionette lines and deep "11's" but so far no other wrinkles - finally, the oil pays off.
For moderate to heavy coverage I apply straight from the tube over still moist toner and moisturizer with a line across the forehead, down the nose, and then a very light "smile" from the apple of one cheek to the other including my chin (again, very light application for this section) blending quickly with my fingertips, adding a little to whatever product is left on my fingertips for under eye coverage before my W3LL people highlighter which I apply on my eyelids. brow bone, and the corners of my eyes. A little setting powder (RMS) and I am good for the day, even with oily skin and constant Seattle rain.
For lighter coverage I apply with a damp foundation brush, buffing the skin until my pores are less noticeable, warming up the product from the stick with my fingers to apply to problem areas like dark circles and the pesky redness around my nose and mouth with gentle patting/rolling. Again, followed with a quality powder, this is a perfect weekend or good-skin-day application method. I've also found it to be a great basic concealer, when I'm only hitting the "rough spots" with my fingers and leaving the rest of my face bare. Gym, etc. style;)
This product gets five stars for me for performance, versatility, super clean high quality ingredients, great packaging, reasonable price, lack of irritants or breakout inducing nasties and *stellar* customer service from this company. I am very loyal to this brand and have used this foundation for a couple of years now (the newer formulation is slightly better, although it has lost a tiny amount of staying power - the finer finish is worth the trade off, IMO) along with their powder and creme highlighters, lip balm/color, and blush. Minerals aren't my thing, so I can't compare this to their mineral foundation.
Never would I have believed I could use a creamy and heavy (if you need it to be) coverage stick foundation, and this product blows me away. The honeymoon will never end. Thank you W3LL People!
Now let's talk LONG LASTING eyeliner and mascara (for the oily ladies) and tinted moisturizer so I don't have to shop anywhere else........

Amazing product. Best organic foundation out there! I'm an actress, and I've tried them all. I apply with a foundation brush, then blot with a damp makeup sponge. I achieve a fabulous finish. Then a little powder and I'm good to go all day!

I ordered some samples of this from the W3LL website. This foundation was hard to blend and it took a long time to apply it and blend it. At first I thought the coverage was decent, but as the day wore on, the coverage faded. I did like the way this felt on my skin though. I didn't feel as if I had any make-up on.

  • 5 stars 4 out of 5

Correction on my review; W3LL had SPF and the others do not! After re-trying the W3LL I noticed it has a better staying power, gives a glowing warmth to the skin, and offers more coverage then other foundations in this category.

  • 5 stars 4 out of 5

W3LL Narcissist Foundation Stick is similar to RMS and Vapour; all three are organic, and give glowing coverage. The biggest difference is W3LL has an SPF that the others do, and can be easier to get more coverage due to its thick consistency. My biggest complaint with all three lines is they do not last through the day even when powder is used. If you are looking for a glowing, natural coverage this is a good line to try!

I was very disappointed with this product, the colour (number 5) was a great match, but it made my pores look huge. I found it hard to blend but as it was expensive I decided to use it up. However, it has given me the worst breakout/reaction I have ever had. My skin is normal-sensitive but I have never been broken out by a foundation before. I'll be going back to drugstore foundations now!

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

I'm delighted with this foundation stick! I have been using it for the past two months. I tried some color samples first, and found that the #2 and #5 worked the best for my skin color. I tend to use these two colors in combination or separately and they match my skin tones perfectly. The product itself has a feather light consistency and is not greasy. My skin tends to be oily, but I use this in the morning and complete the look with RMS finishing powder. I work long 12 hour days, and I only need to touch up my face with blotting papers around midday. The product itself imparts a healthy, warm glow and has not made my face greasy or caused breakouts. In fact, I feel that this foundation is more like a treatment, because the ingredients in it are great and my skin looks and feels healthier from using it over the past several weeks.

  • 5 stars 1 out of 5

Not a fan of this at all. It left a fake looking, plastic finish to my skin and accentuated every single pore on my face, especially around my nose/cheek area- and I've never considered my pores as a problem for my skin. I ordered 3 different colors (per W3ll people's advice) because with my skin I always have to mix 2 together.....all shades looked strange. By the end of the day my skin just looked weird. I don't know what it was, and I like a dewey finish, but this stuff was just not a good find. The ingredients are good, but I do not find the performance to be.

For me, this product would not cover a break out. My adult acne break outs, while getting fewer, tend to be red and cystic in nature and this product did not give me the coverage I needed for those cases.

What coverage is this? I know you said natural, but does that mean light? Medium? Will it cover a breakout?
