TIA Review by Nina :
For the past four weeks I’ve been using Nudist ColorBalm Stick in shade No. 8 (Poppy) by W3LL PEOPLE cosmetics. This is my first review of a makeup product, and I wondered if I’d need a full four weeks just to test a little face paint. As it turns out, the longer you use Nudist, the better your lips look. And my number one reason (of many) for recommending Nudist is how well it has conditioned my lips. My lips are smoother and fuller than ever, even on days when I forget it on my bathroom counter. In fact, ColorBalm nourishes lips so effectively that I’ve concluded that this is no mere makeup, but in fact a healing, nourishing lip treatment that’s as effective as it is pretty!
My lips chap and peel easily, and when I use the wrong product, they can look desiccated. As anyone with chapped lips knows, you become dependent on your lip balm, and maybe (like me), you’ve spent your life hearing “the more you use that Chapstick, the more you’ll need it!” As much as that’s irritated me, Chapstick rehab must be a guiding design principle of ColorBalm: since I’ve been using it, not only are my lips no longer chapped, but I also find myself reaching for ColorBalm only to refresh the color. As I mentioned above, I can swipe it on in the morning, forget it on the bathroom counter, drink too much coffee, and still have a smooth, comfortable, happy mouth.
ColorBalm has also improved the overall appearance of my mouth. I have vertical lines along my lips, which I’ve never minded, and in fact never really noticed until ColorBalm came along and plumped things up, giving me a smoother, fuller mouth. Not in a deliberately agitated, “venom” kind of way, just hydrated and well nourished. Again, those lines never bugged me, but clearly my lips were thirstier than I thought.
If you’ve been reading the news, you know that many lipsticks are still formulated with lead, cadium and other toxins, and thus remain a wear-at-your-peril proposition. Nudist ColorBalm, on the other hand, is 100% natural, free of the usual criminal additives – including silicones, nanoparticles and sulfates. Instead, it’s filled with aloe, beeswax, EFAs and green tea. Most of the ingredients are certified organic, and each and every one checked out as safe according to EWG’s cosmetic database and the GoodGuide.
Color Balm does take just the littlest bit of getting used to. It doesn’t glide on the way most lipsticks do, and is more waxy than oily (though by no means candle-like). But even though it doesn’t have that Vaseline-like, slip-and-slide quality, it warms on your lips and the moisture and protection are long lasting. It also has a nice, light mint scent, and it didn’t bleed outside of my lip lines. It works wonderfully as a nighttime treatment, though I guess that’s a waste of a pink. I wish I could I tell you how it fared through a makeout session, but alas, due to limitations in my personal life, a kissing contest is the one challenge I couldn’t pose. (Though what with this plush, pink pout, let’s hope I have an update for you soon – “clothing optional” is the product motto, after all!)
Poppy is a bright spring pink that works well with my fair to tan complexion. It’s neither as opaque as lipstick nor as sheer as a gloss. Though the Nudist makeup line isn’t expensive, Color Balm comes in a wide range of shades that will work well for most skin tones.
I used to think that “water-proof” and “safe” were as good as it could get with makeup. Now, I’m delighted to know that there are cosmetics that heal and nourish even as they get me noticed from across the room! I highly recommend this product and, if you like makeup in general, I encourage you to check out W3LL People’s website. W3LL People has some beautiful looking products that – judging by ColorBalm – should be fantastic.

I prefer lipstick to color balms, but there are times when I want/need to slap some color on my lips without using a mirror. Unlike a lipstick, the W3LL PEOPLE Nudist ColorBalm does not require precision application.
I tried the 1-coral, and while it gave a bit of color, I had to apply a number of layers to see color vs. shine. I realize that a color balm is not designed to give the color impact of a lipstick, but I wish it had a bit more color payoff. It could be that this particular color is slightly lighter than my natural lip color.
Finally, I am not keen on mint essential oils in lip products, but at least it is not overpowering in this product.

W3ll People Nudist Color Balm, I like it so far. It stays well and my lips feel a cooling sensation. My lips usually get dry after my lipstick wears off, but they don’t seem to do that when I use the color balm. I will probably buy more of this when I run out.

WELL Nudist Color Balm in Nude is a beautiful color, gives lips moisture, and is made with good ingredients. The only down fall is the application doesn't last very long.

W3LL Nudist Color Balms are a great option for those of us who are concerned with the ingredients that are put into the products we use. W3LL color balm offer beautiful colors, good application, and adds moisture to parched lips. The NUDE is a beautiful natural color that is not too brown or pink; will purchase this again.
