Gone are the days of chalky, unblendable mineral sunscreens with Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare's Sheer Mineral Sun Spray. This water-resistant SPF 50 spray sprays on sheer for sun protection that looks great without potentially toxic chemicals. Dr. Dennis Gross' non-greasy, easy to wear sunscreen avoids the controversial ingredients most chemical sunscreens contain by using mineral Zinc Oxide to block the sun's harmful and aging rays. Plus, this SPF contains antioxidants vitamin C, vitamin B, resveratrol and ubiquinone to battle pre-existing and new sun damage. Best of all? This product is vegan and cruelty & paraben free.

Sheer. The first word in the name of this sunscreen says it all. The quest is over for a mineral sunscreen that is really sheer with not even the ghost of a chalky caste Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Sheer Mineral Sun Spray Broad-Spectrum SPF 50 Plus Protection is invisible, silky, super easy to apply and does the job of a sunscreen.
Sheer Mineral Sun Spray is a light milky liquid that sprays easily on to arms, legs and so on. For the face, I simply sprayed into the cupped palm of my hand and then smeared it over my face. Because it is so light and sheer, I feared that this would translate into light protection – enough for a 15 minute dash for lunch, but not for recreational use. I was – happily – wrong. DDG’s Sun Spray passed the weekend out on a boat on the Long Island Sound.
As well as being easy to use, cosmetically more than acceptable and a good performer, there are other reasons to love this sunscreen. The small roster of ingredients includes some good antioxidants. These include two forms of vitamin C, vitamin B, resveratrol and ubiquinone. Plus there’s extracts of tea and amla. Heck, who needs a serum at this point.
The rest of the ingredients are mostly benign with a synthetic emollient (neopentyl glycol diheptanoate) and a couple of silicones. Although there is a PEG and the preservative phenoxyethanol. Overall, the good far outweighs the bad and this is the best sheer mineral sunscreen that I have yet found.

Shake well. Spray liberally, applying 15 minutes before sun exposure, distributing product evenly with hands. Spray into hands first then apply to face. Reapply every two hours. For use on children under 6 months of age, consult a doctor.

After a long and expensive foray into multiple purchases of BB (and one "CC") creams, I've given up and am using Jane Iredale's Tinted Moisturizer--which works well for me in terms of spreadability and color. However, I was not satisfied with my SPF coverage (UVA/UVB) of 15 and could not continue my 30+ year use of my former SPF 50 chemical sunscreen (great product, but much too heavy for use with the rest of my current skin care regimen).
I decided to try Dr. Denis Gross's Skincare Sheer Mineral Sun Spray. What a delightful surprise. It is very thin, does not spray out too much with each pump action, has great 'spreadability', and most importantly, does not change the color of my skin OR make it more difficult to apply my tinted moisturizer. I also have started using it as a quick spray on my hands and arms before I leave home. I feel like I've solved a problem that made my skin care regimen incomplete. I'm TRYING to wean myself off of retinol, but have not managed to do so yet, so making sure that I have adequate protection from the sun is a must. I also have a health condition that mandates that I am protected from the sun.
Problem solved! The mist has no scent, spreads easily, and I can find no "Cons" about which to report! Five stars for a product that will remain in my skin care regimen!

I purchased this sunscreen for a long awaited vacation trip to the beach. It was important to me to have a higher SPF product to protect my face while there as I rarely get extended exposure to the sun. This sunscreen did not disappoint! It is seriously light weight with an equally light fragrance that doesn't overwhelm, plus I love that it is in a spray bottle as opposed to an aerosol. I carried it with me everywhere and it was so easy to use with just a spray into my hands and then a light massage onto my face, neck, and chest. My hubby used it as well, and it provided great protection for both of us. We came home from the beach with a light tan and no sunburn. I continuously used a vitamin C serum (Mad Hippie) in conjunction with this sunscreen while at the beach and it made a huge difference in keeping my existing hyper-pigmentation spots at bay while hopefully avoiding any new ones.

Amazing product. LOVE it, have been searching forever for something like this.
Before I tried this one, I HATED sunscreens with a passion. I had bad reactions to chemical sunscreens and hated the mineral ones because they were heavy, mask-like and impossible to remove at night!!
This is the lightest, most wonderful sunscreen. Does not leave a white or a greasy film. It is easy and fast to apply and removes easily as well. Truly weightless. Perfect product IMO. Also love that it is not an aerosol. WINNER!!

I like this product so far. It smooths on easily, and doesn't leave a greasy feeling and sinks in quickly. I usually spray it into my hand then rub it on my exposed parts. Spray nozzle is a pump action, not aerosol, which is perfect for the way I apply.
