I recently discovered the Jenetiqa line and have found that all the products punch above their weight, none more so than the eye cream, Premier Regard 360° Eyelift. This mid-priced eye cream won’t make too big of a dent on your credit card, but it will deliver some extremely potent ingredients, including some of my personal favorites.

Premier Regard is a great eye cream. In my experience, it is best at ironing out under-eye wrinkles and crepey lids, while brightening skin. For lifting, I’d probably look to a different eye cream, but for wrinkles and skin brightening, this works.

There are a ton of impactful ingredients here, but I want to give a shout-out to some of them in particular. Premier Regard is unusual in that it includes a retinol (retinyl palmitate in this case). One of the other retinol eye creams that I like is Amarte’s Eyeconic, so I was interested in having an alternative. The benefit of a retinol (providing that it's properly formulated) in an eye cream is that it helps smooth the skin, prevent or eliminate milia, brighten dull skin and lighten dark circles. I should note that retinyl palmitate has been identified by the FDA as something that becomes a carcinogenic in sunlight. For this reason, I prefer to use this eye cream at night.

I am always excited to come across astaxanthin, an antioxidant that is supposedly much more powerful than vitamins E or C, and studies have shown that it can prevent UV-induced collagen degradation, wrinkles and melanin. Of course, there’s Jenetiqa’s signature ingredient, ubiquinol, a powerful antioxidant that penetrates the skin easily to reduce free radical damage.

The list is long, but the verdict is short: this product is a winner.
