Indeed, and not by coincidence, I convinced myself that it’s got to be the awesome, potent and super-charged vitamin C serum I have added to my skin care regimen about a month ago. Medik8 CE-Thione Rechargeable Vitamin C Serum has been an exciting new find and a treat for my skin.
With much love of the product and success with testing for review, I have inducted this skin care savior into my anti-aging special reserve battalion and Hall of Fame. Along with Medik8 CE-Tetra , a vitamin C serum, and Medik8 Firewall, a professional strength super antioxidant pro-collagen formula with Cusodase-P, I am building a strong barrier to shield and stave off aging. I can only imagine what more accelerated results I may experience with introducing some of Medik8’s other products, which are surely as impressive as my current hit list of favorites. Since vitamin C works synergistically with vitamin A, it would make perfect sense to try the Medik8 Retinol line and benefit from this one-two-punch vitamin cocktail mix.
Later this year, I will officially enter the mid-fifties “mid-life last hurrah” segment of my life before I sashay into the sexy sixties and be gleaned senior status. The clock is nonstop ticking away and the years behind me have gathered dust and memories of more youthful days. I refuse, however, to succumb to rust and REAL aging. Instead, I plan to continue doing what I’m doing and stay vigilant with my high-maintenance skin therapy. Because Medik8’s CE-Thione contains professional strength vitamin C, plus vitamin E and glutathione, it truly has made the most positive impact on my skin, compared to other vitamin C serums I have used over the years. The dewy glow is phenomenal and my skin is soft and smooth with no roughness or mottled uneven texture. Even my deeper lines and pores are diminished. I have had no sensitivity issues whatsoever, and the fragrance is slight and subtle and disappears quickly without a trace of scent. The texture of the product is perfect...light and moisturizing.The consistency is just right—not too thin and not too thick, very velvety and quickly absorbed. Where other vitamin C serums have not always agreed with my skin and caused irritation and breakouts, this one has not. This is definitely my go-to favorite vitamin C serum of all time!
In comparison with Medik8 CE-Tetra, the product's cost is a little more ($150 vs. $115 for Ce-Tetra; 30 ml size), but the superior results and enhanced quality and ingredients are on an even parallel to justify the difference.
I use the serum only in the morning and use about three to four drops, even though the company recommends five-plus drops per application. The eye dropper applicator/delivery system is easy and mess-free. I pat the serum into my skin and then apply moisturizer, sunscreen and a makeup primer before I apply my foundation. A little goes a long way and the two (2) 0.05 ounce bottles should last about four months or longer with using the product once a day. I give this product a two thumbs-up recommendation and it should be suitable for all ages and skin types. For anyone who may experience some sensitivity, I would suggest scaling back on the usage amount and/or substituting or interchanging with the CE-Tetra serum which has a lower concentration of vitamin C.

Entirely agree - they are all skin irritants and citrus is a photosensitiser ie it increases sun damage and aging....
The Skin industry contributes to skin aging in my view with the number of irritants routinely included - and now phenoxyethanol, in everything, and so high up in the listing in this product - Potential CNS damager.
I thought this site promoted safe skincare? -

The best skincare product I have ever used. I use it every morning and feel that my pores have reduced greatly and overall skin tone is fresher and clearer. I have tried most of Medik 8's products and find this so effective I often don't use anything else, except sometimes Growth Factor or a moisturizer. I also haven't noticed any scent, except for a slight citrusy scent on application.

Hi Sara, I think I would put the CE-Thione first. You may need to wait a bit before layering on Firewall.

I have Medik8 CE thione and Firewall, which of these should be put first?
I sometimes buy the growth factor instead of the Firewall and I put it on first because it's lightweight, but the Firewall is not, neither is the CE thione.
The CE tetra has not been as thick as the CE thione and that's why I am confused.

I have been looking very closely at my vitamin C serums because this is one of the top anti-aging tools. It is actually quite complex. I would encourage everyone to read http://feleciaroselabs.com/is-my-expensive-vitamin-c-serum-killing-my-skin/, which discusses some of the actives in great detail. I chose this serum because it seemed like it might be the most effective. It is a good serum, I like that it comes in two bottles and if you keep it in your refrigerator, it seems to stay good. It is more of an oil-based serum but pretty lightweight. I have switched though to the skinceuticals ce ferulic on the advice of my dermatologist and this one seems to work a bit better. I like that it contains ferulic acid and sodium hyaluronate. It is water-based. Anyways, the Medik8 is also a good serum.

I am in my early 30's (African American) and I have seen amazing results with this treatment. When used as directed, I saw the overall appearance of my skin improve within the first 2 weeks. I was pleased to experience the reduction of hyperpigmentation, increased luminosity and firmness. The more I use it the better my skin looks and feels! Prior to this product I was using a vitamin c product from a Japanese company that has discontinued distribution in the U.S. After 2 years of searching, Medik 8 Rechargeable Vitamin C was the only serum to give me similar results.....I love the results, but it is a challenge to use during the summer; as it made my combination skin oily under my sunscreen. In addition to leaving a tacky residue on my hands after use.....Despite these two downsides the RESULTS I obtained from using this product made it worth every penny! I am on my 3rd bottle. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with hyperpigmentation.

Hi Im 41 years old. I have really good skin. I get glycolic facials every month, and lovely botox, but very conservatively. That being said I LOVE the rechargeable vitamin C serum. There is more of a dewy look to my skin, and its firmer. My only complaint is that I can't really wear it during the day cause it doesn't play well underneath my makeup.

I have been using the Medik8 CE-Thione Rechargeable Vitamin C Serum along with the Medik8 Fire Wall Serum & the Medik8 Growth Factor primarily during the day somewhat inconsistently for almost 2 months now and am really starting to see some great results. Fortunately I was blessed with good skin & although I’m fairly oily I do have to be careful about how my skin reacts to products so I don’t get break outs and I’m happy to report I’ve not had a one with any of these products. Not only that this is without a doubt the best "C" serum I have ever used.! My skin is smoother, has fewer lines and appears more even toned. I don’t care much for makeup so having great skin is very important to me. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these products to anyone and hope you’ll love them as much as I do. Good luck!

I'm 56 years old with fair complexion and dry skin, living in the U.S. Gulf Coast area and starting to see signs of sun damage. Having tried various Vitamin C products, I was hesitant to spend the money on this one but the reviews convinced me. And they were absolutely right. I noticed the difference in my skin almost immediately. After using in the evening, by the next morning my face felt softer and smoother. When I apply to my face, I also rub a tiny amount into my hands - even my hands are softer and smoother.
After a few months, my hyperpigmentation and even wrinkles are diminishing. The look and feel of my skin is very improved.

So thankful and happy to get a sample of this magical potion. I have used this for about 4 weeks now. And I have noticed an overall brightening of my complexion. And overall hydration of my complexion. I used it before my sunscreen during the day. Highly recommend this.

Hi Everyone - this is my first review on TIA. I am on my forth of this serum. My skin is transformed. It has glow and lightness that i havent seen since high college. Like when you go skiing and have that fresh look. My skin more hydrated and just feels so much better than before. Everyone - even my husband noticed and I've said nothing to anyone. In all the years I have tried various creams from the ones my Mom and friends recommended to the ones my facialist told me about, I have never seen any improvement as dramatic as from this serum. And in 8 weeks or so. I am so excited that it is now available from TIA so I can save a fortune on shipping from England. It took me a while to find that you sold it here. I have only seen it available in Europe.
ps. I use the product carefully and it lasts me 6 weeks per vial. And i can happily report that the colour stays perfectly clear with the same tinge of yellow as when it is first opened. I am no expert but i was reading about the ingredients after i saw results and became intrigued. The color of vitamin c is an indicator of whether it is good or has become unstable (something like that).
