Prana Reverse A is an .08% retinol serum that nourishes with vitamin B5, vitamin E, DMAE, gotu kola and grape seed extract while stimulating skin regeneration through micro-exfoliation. This resurfacing serums provides improves skin clarity, texture and tone by rebuilding and restoring skin's natural foundation. Ideal for acne-prone or problematic skin, as well as damaged skin caused by smoking or sun exposure.
Directions:
It is best to use retinol-based products, such as Reverse A, at night. Use on clean, dry face and neck. Be aware that the exfoliating effects of the ingredients can be drying for some skin types. If so, follow with a hydrating moisturizer.

I find Prana Reverse A will do a great job of smoothing out sun damaged skin. If you have stubborn areas of aging skin or hyperpigmentation, or if you are less sensitive than I am and want a relatively effective over the counter retinal, then this is worth trying out.
Reverse A gets my vote for its natural ingredients and slew of anti-agers. Alpha lipoic acid is an antioxidant and produces energy in cells and I especially like l-Carnosine, which flushes toxins from the body and may extend the Hayflick Limit (the number of times cells reproduce themselves). NaPCA crops up in a few of Prana's products and sounds a little like hyaluronic acid (which is also here) in that it Na-PCA it pulls water out of the air to moisturize the skin.
With botanical sage, horsetail and chamomile, Reverse A also has calming effects and may help with broken capillaries. The vitamin A is rounded out with Vitamin B5, E and C. If you are reconciled with DMAE, hailed as both a potent anti-ager and, by one scientist, as increasing fibroblast mortality, there is nothing to dislike in this formula.

Reverse A it's a really nice product. You can feel the tingling sensation after you apply it. It means that it's working!!!.
Just make sure to shake it a bit before applying, because it tends to separate the oil component from the cream.

I've never reviewed a product, but, I'm inspired to share about this one because everyone so raved about the fantastic smell. "…the smell is divine!... " It was one of the reasons I bought it. Take note that the latest review here is from 2014. Though they said there had been no reformulations, I cannot believe that anyone would rave about the odor of this lotion. I like earthy, natural or unusual smells, but, the tube I received just smelled off. It did not smell fresh and definitely not divine, not by any definition. TIA put this down to smell being a personal variable and said that the returned product is fine. I couldn't imagine putting this odor on my face everyday. It would be one thing if people gave great reviews and said nothing about the smell, or, that it smelled a little weird but the results were good. But, to get something that differed *so* much from the reviews and to have TIA not even recognize this at all but just dismissed my concerns as personal taste made me wary and I won't order here again.

I just love this stuff! I'm on my, I think third bottle in the last year and a half as I use it faithfully every night before bed. I just love the texture and the emolliency and the smell, the smell is divine! It's definitely helped tame my rosacea and keeps my skin dewy and even toned. I will continue to purchase until Marta introduces me to something more superior, but there's little chance of that I feel.

I'm ready to reorder this perfect retinol product. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, works well as part of my night regimen, has a wonderful creamy consistency, and smells fantastic!

Hi Carmen,
When using retinol based products, it is important to give your skin time to adjust to a new product. If I may offer a suggestion, you might consider using very little of the product every two days, gradually increasing as your skin feels comfortable.

Unfortunately I had to give my unfinished bottle to a friend. My skin didn't agree with it somehow, started breaking out (whereas it's usually not problematic at all) and only improved when I stopped using it. I tried it again after a two-week break but it happened again. It's unfortunate, as I really enjoyed the texture and smell of this product. I'd like to know if anyone else experienced similar issues with retinols or it was just a bad combination of different creams.

Dear Marta, do you know about how much retinol is in this product? I am a long term retinol user, and am used to 1% or 0.1%, however they list it. Thanks!

I was suffering from Chloasma after my first pregnancy. The patches on my face were ugly, brown and extended on the outer sides of my eyes. I had to cover them with heavy makeup if i had to go out. There were times when I was shy of meeting people who came to see my newborn due to the embarrassing mask. I applied Prana Reverse A religiously for 3 months and followed it with Ultra Renew LED green light therapy. The serum is off-white coloured, odourless and easily melts on the skin. The patches have become very light now, plus as a bonus my overall skin tone on other parts of the face has improved. I still continue to use the serum and am confident it will make the mask disappear. I definitely recommend Prana Reverse A to all moms who suffer from pregnancy related chloasma. Thank You Prana!

I am used to retinols and thought that this one would be too weak for me. But it is one hard worker. My milasma has faded in three months - the time to use one bottle.
