iS Clinical Youth Serum ($150) is a product that I am thrilled to have tried. The ingredients in this serum are quite the mix. It has plenty of peptides and bio-identical growth factors. Some of their key ingredients are copper tripeptide growth factor and a vitamin, A, C, & E blend. They have a patented Extremozyme technology that provides UV photo protection and prevents environmental damage. I also notice caffeine in the mix which I have used in other products which helps in the reduction of puffiness under the eyes.
After using the product a few days I realized I could not use it under the eye or around the eye. It was a little drying and I saw the signs of milia developing under the eye, and the eyebrow area was flaky. I did use it on the rest of my face and as far up as my cheek bone under the eye down to the décolleté area. After applying the product I noticed that it does have a slight tightening effect which is nice. My skin felt extremely soft and smooth. It has been a good 5 weeks and I actually think my skin looks tighter. I think with continued use it will get even better. My skin felt hydrated and I didn’t use a moisturizer afterwards, only sunscreen. Being that I am almost 56 years old that says a lot to me.
If you view information on their website you can read a clinical study that was evaluated for its ability to encourage collagen synthesis in aged human fibroblasts. Quite a fascinating read. The end result was the Youth Serum definitely improved the collagen production. There were positive results seen as far as changes in the aging face such as sagging, wrinkles and loss of firmness.
I would say in 5 weeks I am impressed with the results and the packaging is nice as well. The serum is a nice consistency and comes in a dropper form. There is more than enough in 1 dropper to do my whole face and neck and probably a half for the décolleté area. I only used the serum in the morning and I still have some left after five weeks. It is a bit pricey, but I for one am not shy from paying $150 for a great serum that does exactly what it says it will do. So I would say that iS Clinical Youth Serum would be on my list to definitely try. I am not sure yet on where it stands next to my favorite, Medik8 Firewall, but I would certainly say it is in the running for the top spot. I will continue on using this serum until it is gone and see what happens.

Hi Shalini, I would suggest doing some more reading around fibroblasts. They are types of cells that produce collagen, but not only for scars or wound healing. Fibroblasts maintain structural integrity within the connective tissue. While collagen does form scars, that isn't all it does. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body and fibroblasts make many different types of collagen. Therefore, an active ingredient that helps boost collagen foes not have to cause an injury to work. Some kinds of procedures do work like this, for example laser. But this is not how copper peptides work. You can read more about copper peptides here: https://www.truthinaging.com/review/the-truth-about-copper-peptides

I purchased this serum and definitely like the instant firming effects. Now it says it contains copper tripeptide growth factors. I need to understand if this is related to Fibroblasts or increases fibroblasts in skin? I came across this article that talks about Fibroblasts and need to understand if :
1. Is it safe to use this serum daily without cause any harm to skin? (as mentioned in the article below)
2. For what age group is this serum recommended for
An excerpt from an article written by a plastic surgeon:
Collagen has many function but is essentially a space occupying grout-like material between cells. As we get older, the PROPORTION of different types of Collagen in and under our skin as well as the quantity of total collagen change. Some of the collagen is changeable but a lot of it, despite everything you read out there, is NOT.
The same cells producing collagen, fibroblasts, ALSO produce a LOT of collagen when they lay down scar tissue, whose major component is collagen.
Whenever someone glowingly encourages you to use PRODUCT X which Stimulates fibroblasts (ie scar cells) to deposit collagen, in effect they are saying, that Product X causes an injury to the skin which cases fibroblast scar cells to react and produce a mild, scar-like collagen formation. With time, this collagen is either broken down completely or is replaced with other mature collagen. Injury = Collagen deposition. Greater injury = greater Collagen deposition = scar tissue. The key with all such treatments is to not over-do the injury to prevent scar formation.
Either way, it is always better to understand the science behind the hype and take care not to hurt yourself with such products.

Love this serum. Was hoping to order more but I see it is out of stock! I have to say it is one of the best ones I have tried and truly helps with sagging and wrinkles. After using it only once a day it made a difference in my skin so I will try it twice a day next and see where that leads!

I have finished the product and I am thrilled with the results. I am disappointed to see the store is out stock. I will definitely be ordering more of this. It is worth the big price, but any fantastic serum that addresses sagging is in my book. I see it is part of the sale for today.
