We at Truth in Aging owe a lot to our reader reviewers – they tell us what products they like (and don’t like), tip us off to the latest and greatest anti-aging solutions, and truly serve as the heartbeat of the Truth in Aging community. Because readers’ opinions are so important to us, we’ve asked a few of our trusted reviewers to tell us what products rank high on their list of favorites right now. Read on for their top picks.
Serums
Nisha: M.A.D. Skincare Youth Transformation Age Corrective Serum ($54 in the shop) – “Cutting-edge ingredients backed by science at maximum active levels – exactly what I want from a skincare line.”
Julie Kay: Your Best Face Control ($160 in the shop) – “Keeps my chin, jaw and neck firm, plump and looking youthful. I can’t imagine life without it or what I did before the reformulation! This is my desert island potion.”
Ann: Osmotics Renovage Cellular Longevity Serum ($85) – “I use it to spot treat wrinkles and lines all over my face. It has significantly reduced their depth, and continues to improve on those signs of aging.” Ann is also a fan of Osmosis Correct ($46). She says, “I use this sparingly, every third night or so, and find it to be a powerful skin tone corrector and enhancer as well as pore refiner.”
Tina: Skin Nutrition Dynamic Wrinkle Reducer ($135) “A fragrance-free all-star product that worked really well to diminish and blur expression lines and wrinkles, while acting as a stippling ‘foundation’ for layering my other skincare regimen essentials.”
Moisturizers
JustD: Snowberry Bright Defence Day Cream No. 1 ($59) – “It’s light and airy, and doesn’t clog my pores – and in the Texas heat that is a huge selling point.”
Cristina: Snowberry Bright Defence Day Cream No. 2 ($63) – “It is the best value as well as a great day cream that I have tried so far for the face. After five months I am still using the same bottle! It’s been wonderful for brightness and softness.”
Copley: L’uvalla Age-Defying Day/Night Cream ($48.99) – “I have never met a cream so natural, nourishing, and absolutely necessary for my mercurial complexion. It is my indispensable travel companion and the only constant in my nighttime ritual.”
Cheryl: Acure Night Cream: Argan Stem Cell + 2% Chlorella Growth Factor ($19.99) – “I used it first at night for two nights, and it cleared up my stubborn dry patches without any new breakouts, and my skin felt smooth and plumped in the morning. With that kind of success, I started using it in the morning as well.”
Michelle: Sweet Porter’s Lotion ($13.75) – “This strange liquid lotion cures severely dry skin miraculously fast. I love it for pedicures to keep my heels soft! A must for dry winter skin as well.”
Nancy: Osea Advanced Protection Cream ($98) – “A hugely effective, unscented, seaweed-based, organic anti-aging cream from Malibu. I have used it for ages – Creme de la Mer, eat your heart out! Sometimes when you ring to order, you’ll get the owner on the phone… I always think that’s pretty great.”
Antioxidants
Kim: Osmosis Replenish Antioxidant Repair Serum ($44) – “I always go back to this product. My skin looks glowy and healthy whenever I use it.” It is the top favorite of Becky as well. She says, “It seems to really help balance my skin (I am combo/oily), help it recover from sun exposure, and make it very smooth. I’m pretty sure Replenish is a big reason why I (gratifyingly) get surprised looks when I reveal my age (45).”
Ann: Your Best Face Reserve Antioxidant Oil ($75 in the shop) – “I wouldn’t be without this product. I have the sandalwood fragrance. I use it at night, alternating with other serums. It’s soothing and moisturizing.”
Michelle: 100% Pure Super Fruits Reparative Cream ($12) – “Antioxidants work their magic when I apply this at night – wrinkles and puffiness are much improved. I alternate with the Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream ($19 in the shop) in the morning for eyes that feel more awake.”
Eye Creams
Julie Kay: Your Best Face Correct ($150 in the shop) – “This eye cream has been the reason why my eyes look far more youthful than my chronological years. I never intend to stop using YBF Correct.” Becky is equally wowed by the eye cream: “I never really used eye cream until I hit 40 and then only sporadically because I hadn’t found one worth the extra effort. Now I have! YBF Correct was my first product review for TIA and my first purchase from TIA as well.”
Mark: Skinfinite LOL Eye Serum ($49 in the shop) – “It absorbs quickly and hydrates well while addressing any morning puffiness I might have,” he says.
Cristina: I love the Juice Stem Cellular Repair Eye Treatment ($45 in the shop). After using it for six weeks, I was wowed by the brilliance of my under eye area! And it’s a good value… one bottle lasted me a good three months!” Cristina’s other favorite is the Skin Nutrition Eye Reconditioning Serum ($110). She says, “I couldn’t believe how fast it worked! It really lessened the puffiness of my under-eye area and it was not greasy at all.”
Tina: Kahina Giving Beauty Eye Cream ($65 in the shop) – “While using this product, my eye area looked much tighter and defined, with a reduction in puffiness and darkness. And I was able to use it around the entire eye area without irritation.”
Sunscreens
Cheryl: HydroPeptide Anti-Wrinkle Skin Enhancing UV Protection ($35) – “I wasn’t expecting actual skin ‘enhancing,’ but this light lotion adapted to my skin tone and evened out redness and blemishes. I’ve used the same bottle all summer (good value) and the sun protection has never let me down.”
Nisha: 3LAB Perfect BB Cream SPF 40/PA+++ ($95)– “This lovely cream contains Phytocell Tec, B-white to inhibit melanin, E-Mortal to promote collagen, a stable form of vitamin C, broad spectrum sun protection with the highest UVA protection available (PPD above 8) and the shade actually adjusts to my skin color!”
Copley: DeVita Solar Protective Moisturizer SPF30+ ($25.95) – “My new favorite sunscreen, possibly of all time, for its lightweight, non-greasy feel and outstanding formula.”
Nancy: Solar Protection Tizo2 SPF 40 ($34) – “The best I’ve ever used – it’s invisible and smooths over the skin, and I get no breakouts. It is some miracle sunblock, and I hate sunblock.
Kim: 100% Pure Argan Oil SPF 30 ($26) – “This product really is super pure, and it’s the best face sunscreen I’ve ever tried.”
Exfoliators
Emily: Your Best Face Prep Microdermabrasion ($80 in the shop) – “I would say this is the product I always go back to (I generally use it about twice a week). It does so much – keeping my skin and pores clean when it’s hot, exfoliating when it’s dry, softening and brightening. It is as good as a doctors-office treatment.”
Nisha: Stemulation Micro Derm Scrub ($28 in the shop) – “I am absolutely hooked on this incredible scrub as is anyone whom I recommend it to – which is just about everyone!”
Julie Kay: La Vie Celeste Restorative Exfoliating Gel Mask ($60 in the shop) – “This mask literally rolls back time with each use. I love how I can feel it work, how it works, and how lush my skin feels after it works – it’s magic.”
Jennifer: Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel ($45) – “Although I only use it once a week, it works great as a gentle exfoliant. In addition, it seems to even out my skin tone (including any age spots I have).”
Dennis: Skin Laboratory Salicylic Acid 20 Gel Peel ($25) – “This is a ‘mild peel,’ and trust, there is some burning when you apply, but I can’t even begin to express how worth it the results are. Since I started using this product once a month my skin feels like cashmere, is incredibly bright, even toned and glowing. I accredit it, alongside my PaloVia ($499) for making the world think I’m 24 at 39.
Makeup
Copley: Luka Mineral Cosmetics Nearly Naked Tinted Moisturizer ($40) – “I squeeze a tiny dollop onto my finger, spread it over my moisturizer with SPF, and my blotchy skin transforms into a smooth canvas – free of redness, oiliness, bumps, and blemishes.”
Cheryl: RMS Beauty “Un” Cover-up ($36 in the shop) – “I’ve been using this since Marta recommended it last year. I use it as a concealer to minimize redness anywhere, even on my eyelids; it’s easy to blend and layer if necessary, and it truly becomes invisible.”
Lisa: Josie Maran Argan Color Stick in Beautiful ($22) – “This is a multi-tasker! I use it on my cheeks and lips and it is a very versatile color that looks great on many skin tones. Plus, it’s great for your skin and lips.”
Hair, Lashes, Brows
JustD: Hair Vitality Complex ($49 in the shop), Clearly Emu Ultra Clear Emu Oil (from $26 in the shop) and Nutra-Lift UltraNutrient Shampoo ($22) – “I like this trio so much, and together they are doing so much more for me than ReLuma was doing in the two years that I was using it. I have finally seen some progress, which I’m very happy about.” JustD adds: “Marta suggested I try her Hair Vitality Complex on my lashes and brows as well and I did and WOW. They’ve filled in nicely and with mascara they look fabulous!”
Tina: Phyto Phytokeratine Reparative Serum ($30) – “A stellar hair repair serum that made my hair feel much softer, silkier and shinier while eliminating dryness and frizziness.”
Beauty Tools
JustD: Sirius Aurora Light Therapy System ($149 in the shop) – “This is an amazing little gadget. I’m told all the time I don’t look 59, and I’m sure that the Sirius has helped me reduce hyperpigmentation and target laugh lines.” JustD pairs her LED device SenZen Plump It ($52): “They really seem to work well together for me in the areas that I focus on the most, my laugh lines and just under my chin.”
Emily: Ultra Renew ($89 in the shop) – “TIA introduced me to LED and I don’t think any other one thing has done as much for me. The red light fights wrinkles and improves tone, and the green light has dramatically reduced spots and hyperpigmentation (and I use it on my hands, too). With the introduction of Ultra Renew, I am also using the ultrasonic mode as well as LED, and that has really improved firmness.” Pam calls the Ultra Renew “an ingenious little device that I’m using to treat wrinkles and areas that have lost tone.” And Kim concludes that “Whenever I finish up a session with this device I always look so fresh faced... even my husband usually notices.”
Ann: Sirius Skinsonic ($49) – “I have discovered that a brush is the most important part of a good skincare regimen. This model is inexpensive – less than a bottle of most serums – as well as durable and portable.”

That's too bad. I realize it didn't get rave reviews from some users but it definitely helped with my shedding problem and my hair is thicker. I will order directly from Nutri-Lift.
