Hi Audra: I am sorry you have not had a positive experience with the creme foundation. Have you tried warming up it first on the back of your hand and then applying from there (with either your fingers or a brush)? Also, you might want to try a sponge and just pat on your skin that way. Also, a little goes a long way with this foundation, so you don't need a lot at all. If you use too much it might not blend out as well as you would like it. Also, exfoliating can help with the dry patches (I get those as well in the winter) as well as using a good hydrating face cream. However, I realize you may have already taken these steps. While most people find the creme foundation very hydrating, it is possible that you might do better with the loose powder foundation. You might find that in your case, the powder foundation may tend to accentuate your dry patches less. You can even alternate the two...just using the creme foundation on areas where you need to tone down redness, etc., and then use the powder foundation on the rest of your face. The powder foundation isn't drying at all and still leaves a beautiful matte, but dewey finish. I hope this helps! Best, Teri/La Vie Celeste
I really wanted to love this foundation, but I just don't. After trying multiple times, it has gone unused in my drawer. It tends to sit on top of my skin, highlighting the drier areas and not blending well. I've tried it with my fingers and with a brush, with primer and without, to the same end.
Did I miss something? Am I applying it wrong somehow? I want to love it.
So glad you posted the La Vie Celeste product now... I was just thinking I have to scout out a new foundation, because I just haven't been thrilled with the one I've been using lately. I've been using mineral foundation because everything these days makes me break out. But I hate the coverage of the mineral foundation I'm using. Maybe this is finally a creme I can use?
I think RMS 11 would be closest to LVC Vintage Beige
So how do the colors compare to rms beauty's concealer? for example, what does 11 uncoverup correspond to in LVC? thanks!

I love this foundation. Truth in Aging very kindly shipped me samples, and I ended up getting the lightest color Gilded Ivory and using it as a light concealer, and for that it looks amazing. I have pink undertones, that I am always trying to minimize, and that's why I didn't get the Vintage Beige, even though it's a nice, light, pinkish color - though I am considering it because it's the only makeup that I've found that I don't hate. I currently use it with La Vie Celeste's mineral foundation though, which I also love.
It's a small, slim pot for packaging, which I think is very chic and since I travel a lot I love that I can just bring the whole container. I just dot it on the areas I want with a finger and blend it in, and so far this has produced great results for me - I have combination to oily skin though and don't even need much of a moisturizer underneath, though for others I could see that being necessary. Love the ingredients, love the way it looks on me. Love Truth in Aging for introducing me to it!

I really like this foundation (great coverage) - though I only use it more as a concealer around my eyes and nose with jane irredale pure pressed base over the top. However, I personally do not like this type of packaging... and will not re-order it,
but only for that reason.

I have light to medium skin with yellow undertones, and the Flaxen Beige is perfect. I only use this to cover up redness and uneveness on and around my nose, and it works well for that. I find that I have to reapply mid-day, but I'm fine with that. I use a flat concealer brush to swirl it on top of the foundation and then apply to my nose, but for touch-ups during the day, I just use my finger. I find the application to be pretty easy, but I'm only using it on my nose. I can see that it would be a bit cumbersome to use that same technique all over my face. Overall, this foundation is creamy and hydrating. It does give a very soft glow (not as much glow as the under-eye concealer, which I also use and love). Because I don't want any glow on my nose, I use a light dusting of powder over top, and the final result is natural but flawless. Love it!

This foundation sounded like it was just what I had been looking for and I was very excited about ordering it. I am on the fair side so requested samples of the two beige shades. After consulting with a friend, I ordered the Flaxen Beige, since the Vintage Beige is very pink. Flaxen Beige has a very strong yellow tone, and turned out to be WAY too light for me. That was my mistake, but I am fair and have always worn foundations in the beige family. The foundation seems quite hard to apply. I tried a brush, my fingers, warming it on the back of my hand. It is just very "dense", almost solid in the container, and hard to apply evenly. It does however seem to eventually melt into your skin, giving a nice glow and feels very nice. The down side to that is that when it melts into your skin you realize it doesn't provide much coverage. If you have spider veins or dark spots, this foundation will not cover. So, if I had ordered the correct shade I may have been able to practice and master the application technique but as it is, I have a foundation that I will not use.

How do we request a sample? I'm not sure what shade I would wear.

Hi Maria,
I am sorry to hear that the shade didn't work out for you. Please note that we do send out color samples. If you decide to try a darker shade, please ask us for a sample first, as we completely lose money on every return. Thanks!

I bought the Neutral fawn after reading a review that said if you have skin tone like Jennifer Lopez, this is a good match. I am puerto rican and this color is too light for my complextion. Will send back and get a darker shade. If not for the shade I would have given a three star.

I just tried a sample of this foundation and it is outstanding. The neutral fawn matches my skin perfectly. For a while, I stopped using foundation altogether because it seemed to make me look older and emphasize my 60 year old pores, lines and wrinkles.
This past year I began the search for my HG foundation which would not settle in the pores and wrinkles and would make my skin look naturally pretty and even toned, but not plastered-over and not shiny or greasy looking. I've tried lots and lots of the high-end, luxury brand new formulations with no luck.
Am SO happy I tried this cream foundation from La Vie Celeste because it is beautiful on my skin. Does not settle into my pores and wrinkles. I apply it to get a sheer coverage and it makes my skin look beautifully even-toned, but it still looks like my skin - very natural, just more beautiful.
This is EXACTLY what I've wanted in a foundation. Never tried a cream foundation before - I really prefer this LVC cream foundation to my former liquids. This foundation does not make you look shiny or greasy - it provided me with a beautiful finish - sort of matte, but not at all dry - it's pretty much the most perfect foundation I've ever tried. (I always wear a serum and a moisturizer underneath makeup)
Thanks, TIA for making this available to us. I never would have heard about it, if not for you. What an incredible product!
