Copper peptides are one of the most stellar ingredients. Present in our bodies, copper repairs wrinkles and helps hair grow. And this isn’t based on mere anecdote; copper peptides have an impeccable research pedigree. As the Cleveland Clinic points out, studies have shown that copper peptides promote collagen and elastin production and also act as an antioxidant. Copper promotes production of glycosaminoglycans (which, in turn, work with copper peptides to repair wrinkles and scarring). Studies have found that copper peptides also remove damaged collagen and elastin from the skin and scar tissue because they activate the skin’s system responsible for those functions. Without a doubt, it’s one of the top anti-aging ingredients to look out for, and with that being said, here are my Five Best with copper peptides:
Bénir Beauty BV-9 Platinum Bee Venom Cream
I love this recent find with copper peptides and bee venom. In Bénir Beauty BV-9 Platinum Bee Venom Cream ($136 in the shop), the copper peptide has been converted by a yeast called saccharomyces cerevisiae into a bioavailable, low molecular weight glycopeptide. Bee venom is known as apitoxin and has at least 18 active substances. It acts as a strong anti-inflammatory and antiseptic, and it’s packed with antioxidants. I should also credit some of the cream’s success to thiotic acid (alpha lipoic acid), a great antioxidant.
Kenneth Mark MD Antioxidant Hydrating Cream
Kenneth Mark MD Antioxidant Hydrating Cream ($120 in the shop) is another serum in which copper is teamed with other impressive ingredients. There’s a slew of mineral peptides, including copper, zinc, iron and magnesium. It offers another favorite ingredient with astaxanthin, which can eliminate free radicals 6,000 times more effectively than vitamin C, 800 times more than CoQ10, and 550 times more than vitamin E and green tea. It is backed up by by vitamin E, two forms of vitamin C and vitamin A — not to mention a long list of anti-agers.
Medik8 Firewall
Medik8 Firewall ($145 in the shop) first impressed me four years ago, and it still impresses to this day (and not just me — the feedback from the Truth In Aging community has been super positive). Medik8 Firewall combines some potent anti-agers, including copper peptides, matrixyl 3000, liprochroman-6 and niacinamide. It comes in a snazzy, dual chamber bottle so that the copper is mixed with the other actives just before application.
Truth Vitality Advanced Complex & Truth Vitality Shampoo
Truth Vitality Advanced Complex ($49 in the shop) and Truth Vitality True Volume Shampoo ($29 in the shop) are Truth In Aging’s newly revamped hair care products that utilize copper peptides to encourage healthy hair growth. Truth Vitality Advanced Complex is a serum for targeting the hairline or other areas of hair loss, while True Vitality True Volume Shampoo has copper peptides and emu oil for boosting hair volume and reducing the occurrence of shedding. Copper works on the follicle in two ways: It increases follicle cell proliferation and follicle size, and it decreases programmed follicle cell death.
Osmotics Blue Copper 5 Age Repair Body Lift
Osmotics founder Francine Porter has long been an advocate for copper, and her Blue Copper 5 line combines natural copper with a five-chain peptide. Not only does Osmotics Blue Copper 5 Age Repair Body Lift ($95 in the shop) have merit as one of the few body creams to feature copper peptides, it is one of the few really effective body lotions, period. It is great for firming dimply skin, lifting tummy and tush, plus it makes short work of stretch marks. It’s a perfect companion to Ultra Renew Sculpt ($129 in the shop).

Hi Allegra, LacSal is not a copper peptide product. Trireduction is a copper peptide product but I find that Skin Biology products are too harsh for my skin. They are very drying and cause me to break out. I am very glad to hear that they are working for you though.

I've checked your 5 best products with copper peptides. I've been using Skin Biology products (Trireduction and LacSal ) for three weeks and my skin is much tighter. I would really like to know why those products are not on the list.
Thank you
Allegra

Hi Mark, I don't know their concentrations (except for our hair products. The Osmotics Blue Copper 5 for face is perfectly good, but I wanted to give a range here - hair, body face products using copper. At that time, I hadn't yet tested the Osmotics Blue Copper 5 for face - I would definitely include that in a future Five Best with copper peptides.

Hi Marta,
This is a great post! For those of use new to copper peptide, which of the five recommendations has the highest concentrated delivery of copper peptide?
I also notice you left out the Osmotics face version...is there a reason for this?
Thanks!
